Winsome Mercer Double Drop Leaf Table with 2 Stools

This is a great dining table for small apartments or for area's where you might use it as a desk. Comes with quality hardware, assembles easily, and is extremely stable. The drawers have stops to prevent falling out when opened too far. The stools are well made and sturdy. No cheap MDF material in this table!! It's all real wood and with a finish that I've come to expect from Winsome products. I have other Winsome furniture and they're all of exceptional quality. I did have a small issue with the swing out supports aligning with bottom of the leaves. After some investigating, I found the two end leaves that fold down were installed incorrectly. There is a left and a right leaf. You should be able to swing out the support and slide it up onto the support block. The way it was built the swing out support hits the end of the block not allowing it to fully support the leaf at a 90 deg. angle. Not a deal breaker though. A 5 minute fix. Just 6 hinge screws on the leafs and switch sides. Overall a great value and a quality piece of furniture.

I absolutely love this table. It came very well packaged so none of the pieces were damaged or scratched. All the hardware was together and there was enough screws to make the table. The instructions were very easy to follow nothing like those terrible IKEA instructions! There is am allen wrench included, however you will need a Philips head screwdriver to attach the drawer knobs, but that is very simple. I was able to put together this table and stools by myself and it took me as long as one episode of American Dad without commercials. ONE THING YOU SHOULD BE CAREFUL OF IS OVER TIGHTENING THE SCREWS, ONCE THAT HAPPENS, THE DO NOT HOLD VERY WELL AND BECOME LOOSE. I am using this in my room as a work surface/ personal eating table. Its the perfect size for my needs, however if you are intending it for two people to eat at, I would check if the size would be ok for you guys. The stools say a WEIGHT LIMIT of 200 lbs, but they are extremely sturdy and I am well over 200 lbs and have not had a problem. I plan on adding padding to the tops of the stools which I think will really turn out great.

This arrived early and went together easily and quickly. I am impressed by the quality-definitely a good value for the price and a perfect fit for the small space intended. It is sturdy and has two extra touches I have not seen before on pieces I've purchased in the past: the drawer stop (so glad it's there-the three year old will go right for those drawers when he sees them!) and the built in shims to tighten up the leaf support. And it looks good! Thank you.

This table isn't perfect, but overall I'm very pleased with it. Pros: This is a nice-looking table, especially for the price. The finish on the wood in particular looks excellent. Great for small spaces. VERY easy to put together. I have zero DIY or construction experience and was able to do it by myself in about an hour, using just the allen wrench provided and a normal Phillips Head screwdriver. Though some of the wood is composite, it feels heavy and high-quality. Cons: As several reviews have said, one of the hinges on the right side leaf was misaligned, and the leaf couldn't extend. However, I was able to fix it by unscrewing the hinge and screwing it back on the right way, and I know nothing about these things, so it's not difficult. Some of the dowels don't exactly fit in the slats for the stools and poke out, but you'd have to be looking up close at the stools to see them. There's one small (<1 in) nick in the tabletop and a few scratches, but it still looks attractive. Overall, there are a few issues, but for the price I paid I'm happy with it. If you want a 100% perfect table in this style, you should probably buy something more expensive. But if you want a small, inexpensive dark wood table, this is a good buy.

I've had this table now for awhile and overall I can't be more pleased! Sharp looking design that is both attractive as well as practical when space is limited. Leafs feel a little flimsy, I prefer not to use them, yet still have plenty of surface area to eat off of. The drawers are a bonus and make for a great place to store those small items that you may not necessarily know where else to put! Stools can get a little uncomfortable when sitting for prolonged periods of time. However, they are more than adequate for the duration of a meal. Not hard to put together, assembly went smoothly with no unexpected hiccups!

I love this little table set. Someone stated they changed the drawer knobs and I did the same. They look so cute. Love the drawers. On one side I have napkins and the other my shopping list, a pen, Dollar Store glasses. LOL! Seriously, it was easy to assemble. I used the wood glue to hold in the little round pegs as they seemed to have a mind of their own and popped out randomly. Also purchased cushions for the stools. Looks really great in my very small kitchen. Excellent for the price and a lovely addition to my home.

Bought this table & stools for our sunroom as a place to have a drink or light meal while enjoying a view of the flower gardens. It fits perfectly in front of the window and is just the right height. Delivered quickly. Easy to assemble, all the holes lined up perfectly. Very sturdy. A practical set of furniture for a great price.

This table with benches was easy to put together. The hex wrench provided worked like a charm. My husband and I had it all assembled in less than an hour. He did need to put some muscle into it and it is nice and sturdy. Love that the sides fold down and there is a small shim underneath to slide the lever onto. It arrived a day early and in perfect condition. Not a scratch on the beautiful finish. It was very well packed and we were very careful cutting into the box. Very comfortable to sit at to enjoy breakfast, lunch or snacks, and provides added space in our small kitchen when preparing meals! Loving our new purchase!!

There is no coordination between sale and assembly and that could be part of Amazon’s responsibility as Amazon promoted the assembly option at purchase. Failed to mention assembly and sale were not coordinated. At present, the product is still in the box waiting assembly. Product arrived early and still waiting for assembly scheduled for July 9. Product arrived early on June 16. I chose the earliest assembly date that was available. Product over priced as another U.S retailer was selling for approximately $175 at the time. I cannot rate assembly as I'm not assembling product but if I knew there was no coordination between sale and assembly I would never have purchased assembly offered by Amazon. Since it is still in the box waiting assembly cannot rate sturdiness or whether it is suitable for small spaces but based on measurements and photos seen from other cheaper U.S retailers, it appears suitable for small spaces.

I am so happy to have selected this item for my limited space kitchen ;not only I love the colour but is real wood and the design offers the flexibility that other tables do not.You can fold either left or right side and hidden the stools under the table .Gives my kitchen ,the coziness I was looking for and saves me lots of space .Nicely done and so easy to assemble .The item arrived fast and inn excellent condition .Love it !

When this arrived it was a lot heavier than I expected. It was fairly easy to put together, and I used wood glue to make sure the stool joints held up to being used. It fits really nicely in the kitchen. The end flaps are not perfect, and the hinges are slightly off line, so they don't lie flat when you have them up. But for the price you can't expect more!

I've had this for some months now. Arrived with some marks on the table surface. Not worth returning as I can use a tablecloth. One of the props that holds the small drop side up doesn't work reliably. I've had a guests plate almost hit the floor because the prop moved. Nice enough unit but not worth the $$
