I use a HIll hand pump to charge my PCP air rifles. I didn't know about these in-line dryers at first. When I learned about them, I ordered this unit. Very heavy aluminum construction w/ a mix of absorbents and filters. I have only used it a couple of times, but it was easy to put in between pump and rifle, and it worked perfectly. Don't know yet about absorbency; the air in my basement in the winter is quite dry, so I couldn't see that the material was absorbing water. I recommend this unit because of build quality and the fact that it has everything you need to simply connect it and start charging air.

My use is to provide additional conditioning of the air from a high-pressure air pump (HPAP) used to charge an SBCA tank and PCP air rifles. I have one of those relatively inexpensive electric HPAP that are made in China. The in-line filter is a fiber plug about 1-inch in diameter by two-inch long. By the time I have recharged the SBCA, the filter is soaked with water. This filter adds charcoal and microbead desiccant. I have not experienced any of the negative build quality issues reported by others. The main body appears to be machined aluminum, not seamed pipe or cast. No rough threads or rough knurling. It came with replacement O-rings, pressure discs and two filters. The internal filter bodies have screw-on caps, so the media can be changed. The connectors fit my equipment without leaking. I experienced no problems while filling my SCBA tank to about 4K PSI. The charcoal component of the filter body has no value to me because I do not need odorless air for my air rifles, I plan to replace that with micro-bead desiccant.

Looks and feel very solid. Cost at a fraction of all the others out there, this one actually impress me. Swapped out white balls for molecular sieves and it trapped all moistures out. The burst disc works as well... walked away for a sec and it filled past 4500psi and disc burst hence saving me from more destructions. It works! Learned my lesson and not ever look away while compressor is on moving forth. Came with spare parts to swap out and an additional filter tube. Extra burst disc too. Very nice. Bought this for newrly the price on aliexpress lol.

The water and oil separation is good and the unit is well built, however this unit is rated at 4500 psi the supplied burst discs let go between 3600/4000 psi. I purchased additional burst discs from another Amazon vendor and am able to fill to 4500 psi now. So you need to be aware of this. Also a lot of people on here state that they can’t find properly sized burst discs for this unit. FYI all burst discs have the same diameter size, they have to be evenly pressed in then the plug is screwed in. I took a star off because I had to purchase additional burst discs. A big plus is it does come with an additional replacement cartridge and the cartridges are refillable you can readily purchase the dryer, charcoal and sponge pads in bulk and save money. Rebuilding them as needed. In all it’s a good unit that should last you a really long time.

Disc blew at 3900psi. No good for filling scuba tanks unless you double stack the burst discs or purchase higher rated valve. It’s good that it can be upgraded. No moisture ever comes out, so it works great

Works well for removing junk that kept destroying my regulators. I kept finding scale, buildup and junk inside my regulators and tanks so I bought this. So hopefully in time my regulators will last longer. I also added a custom desiccant air filter for the intake of my pump to further dry the air going in. 5 stars

Looks good, well built, but does not go to 4500 psi. Amazon description is confusing since it says 30 MPa and 4500 psi. 30 MPa is 4351 psi. Instructions in the box say don't go past 30 MPa. Works fine for most PCP's which fill to less than 300 bar (4351 psi), according to my conversion calculator. My unit burst the disc somewhere below 4500 psi. I don't know exactly where because I wasn't looking at the gauge when it burst, but it had not reached 4500. In fact, I'm not sure it had reached 300 bar. I will continue to use it to fill guns, but not tanks.

Very well made . Bought open box so dint get every thing but got the important part the filter . Seals & cotton dicsk were missing but did get spair filter incert thank you very much great deal looks small in photo but it not it’s surprisingly big heavy heavy dutie.

Works really well, just takes a little longer to build pressure now.

Estoy cargando un rifle PCP que soporta hasta 4500 PSI y solo lo estoy cargando a 4000 psi por la razón que aquí expongo. Por lo pronto estoy limitando la carga a 4000 psi
