I got this because my cat got a real bad injury on the leg. His skin was torn off and looked real bad till you could see to almost the bone. The Dr. gave me a tube of Manuka honey to put on his leg to help it heal fast. The tube was almost finished so I ordered this and his leg healed and still have plenty left. It is real thick and smells good. I will definitely buy another one for my personal use. Since I have a lot of stray cats that I take care of and feed I try to get things to help my babies.

Excellent product, it gets a bit thick depending on the temperature in your home but you can just microwave it for a lighter consistency..

I suffer from Angular Cheilitis (saliva gets trapped and builds up in the corners of your mouth. and the warmth and moisture create the perfect conditions for fungus to grow causing cracks and sores) due to wearing a CPAP device at night. This is a fantastic price for Manuka honey! I know, I know. It doesn’t have the UMF rating, but that didn’t bother me very much since I wasn’t using it for wound care. I mix a tbsp in my tea everyday. Definitely has a ‘medicinal’ smell and taste but it tastes fantastic dissolved in tea! This was recommended to my by my RN friend who’s very natural health conscious and I’m glad she did. She’s used it as a compress for skin and has had great results with it. I haven’t tried it for skin but I love how calming it is at night w my tea.

WHile this was suppose to be medicinal, my pneumonia still penetrated my lungs. However, the honey did feel good going down because it was so rich and tasty

I don't write a lot of reviews, but have to say my part about this one. I had MRSA for over a year - once it was finally diagnosed (several thought it was just a spider bite), I was injected with steroids, heavy duty antibiotics, and put on a medication that caused me to break out in hives and felt like I had the flu. It was a miserable year +. Just when I thought it was finally gone, several months later, I had a break out on my leg - same huge spider-bite-like welt as I had had previously. Looking up natural remedies, I came across the recommendation by many MRSA sufferers to use Manuka Honey. In desperation to try anything, I had it overnighted, propped my leg up, spread the honey on, wrapped it with gauze and a heating pad and within an hour or 2, the sore had almost entirely vanished. The swelling and pain went completely down and it just took a few days to heal completely after that. This was over a year ago and I have not had a MRSA outbreak since - If I ever do, I will update this post. My nurse roommate scoffed at me, trying to tell me that sugar on a wound mixed with heat was a bad idea and would promote an infection. It clearly did not and so glad I didn't listen to her. :)

This stuff is a small miracle to me. I bought this a few months ago for my autistic daughter in hopes of helping with her intestinal issues, but she never took it. I found a forum online for abdominal pain because after a 4 day pennicilan dosing. My upper stomach became so painful I couldn't walk most of the day. Being Friday and no doctors open. I decided to sell treat with the Manuka honey since I was blessed to happen to have a unopened jar at hand. I started with one teaspoon, 2,3,4 and the more I slowly let it go down in my stomach. The pain was disappearing within an hour. I couldn't believe it. Idk why or how, but it has helped me so much. The pain is in half and it's only been an hour and a half. I'm so thankful I happen to have this. Now to figure out why Penicillin would cause killer abdominal pain that wouldn't go even after I stopped it. I'm a true believer in Manuka honey now. I'm sure I'll find several uses for it now that I know it really works.
