The Matrix So Silver Purple Shampoo is hands down one of the best purple shampoos I’ve ever used! It neutralizes yellow tones beautifully and brings out the brightness in my blonde and silver hair without drying it out. I love that it’s vegan, and it still feels luxurious and conditioning — my hair feels soft and looks vibrant after every wash. The color-depositing formula really helps maintain that cool, bright tone between salon visits. It lathers well, rinses cleanly, and a little goes a long way. I’ve definitely noticed less brassiness and more shine since I started using it. Highly recommend this if you want a purple shampoo that actually delivers results! Will absolutely repurchase.

I love this stuff so much, I had to buy the BIG bottle, which should last me at least six months if not longer. If you have silver hair or graying, with dark brown or black, get this. You won't regret it. I have 50-something salt n' pepper hair that sans any coloring is about 60% silver, with the other 40% a mix of dark brown to almost black. We have well water with a filter on the showerhead, and yet, my hair gets dull looking with tinges of brown being more prominent and the silver losing its sparkle. I have used many purple shampoos and the problem I run into is that most are very drying, which is something that my thick, curly hair doesn't need. This product is not drying at all, and within one wash - leaving it on my hair for 2-5 minutes after suddsing - makes a noticeable improvement. Dark strands are darker, and white-gray strands have whitened. I use this product for multiple days until I've achieved the look I want, and then use it twice a week thereafter, always using a quality conditioner after the shampoo - not a purple conditioner, although you certainly could do so. I do use the leave-in Matrix So Silver spray conditioner occasionally too. The shampoo is somewhat runny, so it takes very little to get a good lather. I focus on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair and run it all through right before rinsing. My hair is left feeling soft and moisturized after using it. I like the scent and have had no scalp or skin irritation using it. (Avoid contact with your skin for long periods of time, as it will stain your skin and/or scalp if prolonged exposure occurs. Overall, it's one of the best options for blonde and silver-haired folks. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Neutralizes yellow in second! The best purple shampoo i have ever bought. Yes, its a lot more expensive than shimmer lights or other purple shampoo but you don't need much and you only need to wait a minimum amount of time before washing it off to get results instead of standing in the shower for 3 + minutes wasting water!

The product is great, have been using for 2 years now. Keeps my hair soft, shiny and keeps the brassy colours out. Delivery was not good. Shampoo spilled into the package .

I have used this shampoo and rinse once a week for almost two years was working wonderful on my silver hair. This last bottle I ordered made my hair turn purple in spots. And it does not wash out. I have very long hair so it is going to take forever to grow out of there, if ever! Have they changed something in the last year or so? Anyone else have this happen, and if so, did you get it out? TIA

Shampoo is terrific, nice scent, leaves my hair feeling clean, etc. However, I would not order from Amazon. Buy somewhere where they pack it correctly. Ordered another product as well that was fortunately shrink wrapped or it would've been ruined. Ordered two bottles of this and one of the lids was completely broken off (they are not removable) and the other had the lid flipped open. Huge mess. It was shipped in loose packaging, not a box. Leaked everywhere.

The shampoo came together with other items, among which a baby towel. As there was no package for the shampoo, it leaked in the box staining the towel as well. Very dissapointed as the towel has purple stains, despite being wrapped in a bag...
