I teach human biology online to students age 7-12. This model is perfect for that purpose. I use a document camera for drawing, writing, and showing models and it's easy to make it pretty dramatic by showing the good side and then at the appropriate place in my narrative, I flip it over to show the cavities and the children gasp. I also have the full tooth model (seen in the photo) and the kids love learning to count their teeth. Add in my kids' baby teeth, including a couple that had to be pulled so they have the roots still attached, and there's an hour of dental fun and learning!
