Is this measuring ruler easy to write?

Yes its a rought pvc plasticy material. We have transferred the little ones height onto this from his door frame

Hello. Can anyone tell me please, if i can wash off/remove markings once ive written on it. And what pen type is best to use. Thank you.

I think you could wipe off markings. I wasn't sure how well pen would stay on it and if it would smudge because the surface looked like one pen might not dry on or permanent marker bleed. So used a pencil which works well. I haven't tried rubbing it off. The surface is slightly bumpy like a photo canvas so you might have trouble getting all markings out from the dips.
