Really good VFM. Great for a recent trip to Norway. Didn't slip once and gave me a lot of confidence and pleasure watching our travelling companions nervously picking their way across compacted snow and ice ( I told them to buy some! before we went). Reasonably easy to get on and off. Lost a few studs along the way, but they are easy to replace. Packed them with our hand luggage and had no problems. Don't try them out on wooden floors. I'm almost looking forward to the next time we have snow at home.

Firstly, these things grip very well on anything, thin ice/frost over pavements, slush, full-on ice/snow. Now, while I can see these lasting while walking on snow or thick ice, on the pavement, these will not last not much than a few trips. I probably walked 2km and I lost 2 studs and the plastic is all damaged at the bottom. For the amount I need to use these each year, I can probably buy one for the year, but if I were doing anything more than that I would have to look for a better option.

These ice grips work very well. Not even good gripping boots work on ice so these ice grips are so useful during winter weather and fit easily over outside shoes or boots. They can removed and slipped into a pocket. We have bought a pair for all 13 employees working on farm in joinery and log business. It is a no- brainer for everyone out in icy weather. Have had to replace studs occasionally ( spares supplied) and rubber worn through in instep after 3 years ( 4-5 weeks equivalent continuous use. Despite these small problems, at this price it is insignificant compared to a fall and injury. Just order a set. You will not regret doing so.

They look exactly as described but until the ice and snow arrive I have no idea how well they will work.

I was nearly put off by the negative reviews, ignore them. I walk my dog 6 -10 miles a day and found the recent icy conditions treacherous. Put them on over my walking boots (do make sure you get the correct size) and was amazed at how confidently I could walk without worrying about slipping and falling (I’m 75 so it matters). I have walked over 50 miles in the last 6 days using them on compacted snow and ice and they have performed faultlessly, no lost or broken pegs. Today the thaw started in earnest but even in the most slippery conditions I felt confident; the downside, parts of my walks are on tarmac and where the ice had melted they had a hard time on the unforgiving surface, sure enough when I got home one peg was missing and another broken. They come with 10 spare pegs and I bought another 40, take seconds to replace, what’s the problem? They fitted my size 11’s perfectly, I was going to give 4 stars because of the peg issue, but at the price 5 stars.

Excellent if you are sensible enough to lift out of cupboard to use. Hubby didn’t. If he had he wouldn’t have completed acrobatic display in the snow in January and ended up needing operation on his arm. So lesson of the day is to buy and actually use. I do. That’s why I have fully operational arms after walking in the snow.

Sizing is all wrong for these. A Medium & a Large are pretty much the same size. I’m a size 8 shoe & my son a size 6 but yet the M & L fit both our shoes or snow boots. The Small doesn’t fit a child’s 13 shoe. They do work great on the snow/ice though

I've only worn these once so I'm not sure of their longevity, but I can say without question that they are amazing. I took the dog for a walk an hour before these arrived on icy streets and I slipped and skidded the whole way. Taking her out again this evening with the grips on, and the pavements were even icier, I had absolutely no problems with the ice. It was an awkward feeling, not being used to them, but after a few minutes it felt natural enough and the ice was no concern. They stretch over my shoes fine but they're a little loose on my partner's shoes who's at the bottom end of the size guide for the large ones we bought, but all in all they are comfortable and safe to walk with. My only concern is the durability of the studs but they come with 10 extra studs and I've now bought 100 extra studs (also from amazon) just in case! They are noisy when you walk, but for safety on the ice that's something I can put up with!

Ich habe keine Erfahrung mit "Eiswandern" und "Steigeisen" usw. Fuer mich geht es nur darum, dass ich bei glattem Wetter meine Runde drehen kann. Allerdings schon durch sehr hüglige Landschaft. Und das funktioniert sehr gut damit. Ich habe zumindest bei einem Mal noch keine von den "Steckern" verloren. Ich bin absolut begeistert, wie einfach man sie ueber die Schuhe bekommt. Selbst mit einer Hand auf einem Bein stehend, ging das zügig. Toll. Am Hang verrutschen sie dann aber, d.h. wenn man schräg gehen muss. Also nicht steil gerade hoch, sondern etwas geneigt. Aber letztlich sind sie am Schuh geblieben. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Fuer Frauen M bei Schuhgrosse 38 und mit Wanderschuhen.

J'en avais déjà mais avec la neige elle ont lâché , c'est pour cela que j'en recommande car très efficace et moins cher que l'hôpital. Vraiment efficace a 100/100 moi c'est pour promener mon chien et je ne glisse pas , c'est un malinois ils sont très fort. Je conseille ses crampons.

Las he utilizado para un viaje a Islandia y han cumplido perfectamente para evitar resbalar en los paseos donde te encuentras placas de hielo. Son fáciles de poner y quitar. Importante recalcar que son para paseos normales por aceras caminos con poca nieve y demás. Si te vas a meter a hacer excursiones en glaciares y demás este producto no sirve.

These ice grippers are the best I've purchase. I like the way the toe piece covers the toe holding them in place much better then most ice grippers. Living in northern Ontario, I highly recommend these ones
