Bought to replace a standard wooden wall mounted gate which was across a door to the hallway in our pre-school. Unfortunately many of the children could open the previous gate and one could even lift it off it's hinges so we needed a gate they couldn't open, but the staff could open with one hand when carrying a child. This works well as they haven't yet worked it out and also can't climb on it. One downfall is that they do tend to pull at the top and it can sag a bit.** we are now on our second gate after only 4 months, even with buying replacement catches, unfortunately as the gate is opened multiple times per hour the top bracket has cracked and it is not as hardwearing as it could be.

Not easy to use one handed.Dog wrecked it in about 20 mins.If it wasn’t wrecked by the dog I would have sent it back

Good looking product that is highly functional. We had an issue with a couple of the clips and the company replaced them with no questions asked. Great service all round!

Easy to fit. Downside is the instructions aren't in english but there are pictures for what to do. Spaces arent really made for putting the hook side on a parallel wall.But does the job

This product is a really good idea, but it’s not long before it becomes slow to retract, and then eventually doesn’t at all. The clip then snapped and was repaired by us, before happening again. We’ve now had to replace it with a regular stair-gate unfortunately.

The stairgate is easy to install with the given templates. It fits nicely across the door and provides an easy to use barrier across the doorway. Very impressed with this product and it compares well with metal stair gates we have previously purchased. It is very ideal if you want a stairgate that retracts as this saves space and is easy to work with one hand. The lock is very sturdy and strong to stop it rolling back in. Reccomend with children!

Really good safety gate. I bought it to stop my twins from going down the stairs and it seems to be working well. Very nice and easy to install. Highly recommended!

Product arrived damaged. Took it out of box, fitted brackets to stairs and then realised that retract mechanism is broken. We have to retract the gate manually which is really inconvenient. Loose components can be heard inside the stair gate upstand.
