Dog Pet Food Container - Large

This food bin fits our kitchen decor perfectly and holds a full bag of dog food (35 lbs?).Aside from our Lab eating the dog food sign 2 days after we set it up, we have had no problems with it. I added a simple hook and eye latch to the lid to keep him from opening it. I also added a piece of corrugated plastic to use as a liner holder, to keep the bag in place.As they suggest, you definitely need to use a trash bag or other liner to pour the food into. Otherwise, you will end up with bits of food and crumbs at the bottom of the bin, that are difficult to clean. With the liner, you just pull it out and replace it when you refill the bin.A great product. I would have rated it higher if it came with a latch and a system for holding the liner in place. But, I would purchase it again.

This dog food bin looks great, beware of splinters though. You will need to sand this bad boy down... We were disappointed that it was smaller than it appeared in the ad. It holds almost 40lbs of dog food. We have two huge dogs so we will be filling it quite often. Also after I sanded it, I stained it to match our current style in the kitchen. Looks great and serves the purpose. Is it worth the $120 price tag- No! Live and learn I guess. We could have returned it and paid the $25 shipping and handling.....more of a pain than anything, so we kept it. It's better than what we had.

I wish I could give this a 3.5. I love it, and it looks great hiding the bag of dog food. The bag of dog food actually fits perfectly inside, I didn't need to put a trashbag in there or anything. The only reason why I didn't score it higher is because the outside is a little more rough than I wish it to be. It looks very unfinished and you can peel little splinters of wood off.

This is very well made and holds "almost" 40 pounds depending on the brand of dog food. It looks great on our hearth next to our dog's dishes. I use thumbtacks to hold a plastic garbage bag inside as a liner. We may stain it darker. It looks great in natural.

I bought this pet food container in 2007! It has traveled with me to three homes in three states.It fits a big bag of dog food. All I do is cut off the top of the bag and put it in the container. Because it's a half barrel, I've never had a problem finding a place to put it and it always looks good with my décor. The "Dog Food" sign comes off easily if you'd want a more low profile look. If I move again, it's coming with me!

little on the small side. I can't fit a 30# bag in it, so I had to seal the inside with food safe wood sealer so I can pour in the food. Looks nice, functions well. Would be a really awesome gift/purchase if you are a wood finishing guy.

Matches my country kitchen decor perfectly. My puppy (70 lb 8 month old black lab) has never once tried to open it. Her ginormous bowl doesn't fit in it (LOL), so you'll have to use a scoop. We buy the 30 lb bags of food and it all fits without a problem. Would buy the cat one if I could find it to match!
