Doctor Who1/1 Scale Accessory Replica - Trans-Temporal Sonic Screwdriver

A nice addition to any sonic screwdriver collection. Never used on screen, this is a nice standalone that can also be used with the Customize Your Own Sonic set allowing even more variations. Has 8 different sounds and several light patterns. For example, quickly press the button eight times then hold on the ninth press to hear a really cool sonic sound unlike any other. Comes unassembled, just insert and twist until it clicks. Consider buying LR44 batteries along with it as mine were DOA. All sonics use the same battery. Helpful.

Wben I first got this it didn't work at all. I took it apart and found out that there's an activation button inside that has to line up exactly with one outside. So, I did that, and it works ... badly.It only makes odd little chirps. Maybe I need to replace the batteries that come with it? I can't figure out a way to remove those batteries without damaging the housing they're in. They are in there TIGHT. pushing around the edges with a tiny screwdriver only damages the plastic housing.So, it's cheap junk. I will be asking for a refund.Update: I wrecked the battery housing and was able to replace one of the batteries. It makes sounds now. It asks for L44 batteries, which are not sold in my part of South Florida. 357s do just as well. So, I can add $8 for the battery to the cost of the sonic screwdriver, and you will, too. This device takes 3 batteries.The sonic screwdriver, as sold, is still junk.

Fresh out of the box but the batteries that were in the Sonic were almost dead so make sure you check the description for the batteries you need to buy with this product

The batteries are very hard to replace. I pushed button. And it doesn't work.

I got it in the mail a bit late, and the inner workings were cracked! It came with slightly swollen batteries that were almost impossible to get out due to the tightness of the slots and the batteries themselves. I love the outer shell!!! Very well made, fit in my hand nicely, but the inner piece definitely needs to be of better quality and the batteries should not be inside at all if they're going to swell like that. Rather not risk battery acid burns or a totally destroyed product. Not worth my payment at all. I only hope others got a better quality inner piece!

I ordered one, it was completely non-functional so I ordered a replacement. The replacement was also non-functional. They know the product is broken, because they re-sell the ones we are returning as defective.Box came completely open and smashed, batteries swollen, and screws glued so I couldn't even get to the batteries. It didn't work at all. No sounds, no light. Its a plastic stick that falls apart if it's waved around. It doesn't even hold together when you wave it around.The only reason you should ever buy this piece of plastic is if you want to copy their design with a 3d scanner, then 3d print your own. Honestly, someone should steal this shell and sell their own FUNCTIONAL version. I'd buy that one.The seller definitely knows about this, but continues to sell it.

This was wonderful for my Doctor Who costume, and I really enjoy having different types of sonic screwdrivers. What I would know is that the batteries die really fast on it. Even with the different modes, I feel like the battery and connection isn’t where I would like it to be. It feels nice in the hand, but the battery dies quick is the basis of my review.
