Great laptop for my girlfriend, and quick delivery!
Pros: My girlfriend seems to really love it! it runs all of her tabs smoothly, and its overall power is great for the price point, shes been able to play games like Minecraft semi-smooth on low settings, and with performance enhancement mod 60fps is very achievable. a lot of the more casual Steam games run with relatively high success too. if youre looking for a more in-depth review id recommend searching up the model and watching some Youtube videos. finishing up, the overall experience has been above expectations, havent heard any major complaints, and the shipping at least in our case was shockingly quick. (this being to the Philippines.) Cons: When first opening up the laptop it was in S mode, so turning that off was just a mild inconvenience. on top of being Windows 11, but thats more so nitpicking. On to the major complaint, for some reason due to the Microsoft store, it wouldnt allow us to open the game even after paying it in full. we then had to buy both the launcher and the game once more, in the Microsoft app store. to call it a pain is an understatement, but steam works just fine again once you take it out of S mode. Final Thoughts: Do your research beforehand, and make sure this is for you. For us, it runs just about everything we need and want. But id say if you can, its more than worth it, this gives you a whole lot more value than what you pay for.

Best laptop I’ve ever had!
I have never heard of the Lenovo brand before purchasing this laptop. I work remotely, but still go into the office at least once a week, so I needed something I could carry around. My last HP laptop started slowing down after 2 years. My husband bought me this as a replacement and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good it was! It’s super fast and still going strong after 3 years (bought in 2022, now 2025…time flies). I have been using laptops for over 20 years and let me tell you, this ain’t your dad’s bulky laptop from the Y2K era. Even though the screen is quite big (how I like it), the body is thin when closed and it doesn’t feel bulky at all. It fits perfectly in my backpack without taking up a lot of space. The keyboard feels good when I’m typing and makes that nice clickety clack sound. The touchscreen has been very useful during my business meetings and I love the gold color, which makes it look expensive, even though it was on the “cheaper” side. The battery life is pretty good. I get maybe 4-5 hours unplugged after fully charging. That’s more than enough for me because I always have my charger with me anyway. This is just a very rough estimate. You’d think the “brand names” will give you a good quality laptop, but I have been very disappointed in some of them because they just don’t last very long. I will only buy Lenovo from now on. In fact, we bought 2 more Lenovos for our business because we know how good it is. I know this will start slowing down eventually as all computers do, but I will be purchasing another one when that happens. I’m hoping to get at least another year or 2 out of this one. I’ll update my review when it’s time for a replacement.

Very great value
I am thrilled with my Lenovo IdeaPad 3, especially considering its purpose as my learning companion for coding! This laptop has been an absolute gem, delivering reliable performance without any slowdowns or glitches. One of the standout features for me is the size of the screen, which provides ample real estate for coding projects while still maintaining portability. The touchscreen functionality adds an extra layer of convenience, making navigation and interaction a breeze. Typing on the keyboard feels incredibly comfortable, enhancing my overall coding experience. It's a small detail, but it makes a significant difference during long coding sessions. While I have nothing but praise for this laptop, the only downside I've encountered is its battery life. As someone who uses the computer extensively throughout the day, I find myself tethered to the power outlet to avoid running out of juice after 2-3 hours. However, given the stellar performance and affordability of this laptop, I'm more than willing to overlook this minor inconvenience. Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 has exceeded my expectations and proven to be one of my best investments. If you're in the market for a reliable and budget-friendly laptop for coding or general use, look no further than this powerhouse!

Incredible value, great little machine
When we left home for one of our rare extended vacations, I wanted a laptop for my wife that didn't need a lot of bells and whistles but did have to be up to date, fast enough with enough RAM to run Office apps and browse comfortably, was dependable. and well priced. This was a great choice. It includes features I dared not hope to obtain at this price point, including a SSD drive and touchscreen, and she is very happy with it. Because she is not a big media user and saves her document work to the cloud, the small disk drive is not an issue. The built-in camera does quite nicely and the 15.6-inch screen is really as big as you should want for travel or even a laptop home use. The only not-so-great things to be aware of are (a) the screen leaves something to be desired; (b) battery life is not so great; and (c) you've got to yank Windows out of S-Mode unless you want only Microsoft-approved software, a "safety feature" no one asked for, of course. These are quibbles for most users looking for economical laptops. Highly recommended.

Affordable and Exactly what I needed
I'm really pleased with this laptop so far. I have had it for over 6 months and it works really well. There are a few little details that I really like about it including the number keypad, the ability to adjust the screen lighting and access the calculator from the keys. I use it every single day and it has been great! Especially considering the price. I play some games on it, but nothing that takes up too much space. It was really easy to set-up. I've had no issue with it.

Lenova Support Processes are very lacking
I bought this Laptop in March in preparation for retiring in May. I use it mainly for personal use, but a little bit for a side business that I own. After using it for 2 weeks in May, it began freezing every time I moved it. I contacted Lenova support and they instructed me to send the machine back to them for testing. I use this machine every day and don't have a backup. I stated that I would prefer a new machine, but that was not granted. They then kept the machine for 3 weeks and would not offer me a loaner. I got the machine back and they stated that they replaced the keyboard. I noticed that it still froze up every 5-6 days when I moved it. I reopened the ticket, and they want me to send it back to them for more testing. I asked why this testing wasn't done before the machine was shipped back to me, but the rep could not answer that; the phone reps know almost nothing and cannot respond with any information other than the canned answers they are given. So this machine is going back to the shop to be repaired by the same people who had it for 3 weeks in May-June. Since my retirement in May, they have had it as much time as I have had it. My wife bought an Acer a year ago. If I had to do it over again, I would definitely do the same.

It is locked into S Mode, very difficult to unlock
I hadn't heard about this S mode before, which basically locks you into safe programs from Microsoft. You can't download anything from other sources. Not even Chrome, for example, which the computer insists you don't need, with a pop-up admonishment. "For your own good," as your mom might say. To get out of this took research. You can't even use REGEDIT in Admin mode (which it considers not to be a Microsoft program!). For someone not very techie or computer literate, S mode is probably very useful, but for me it was quite a hindrance. When I found the steps, the mouse would not click the button to get out of S mode. After two days of madness, I was ready to return the laptop, but then tried plugging in an external mouse. With the external mouse, I finally turned this S mode off. This is a permanent change, no going back. Now it's nkta bad machine. But when I tried pair it wirelessly with my new Fire TV, it could not complete the pairing, though the TV recognized the device. After 20 plus attempts, I've given up for now and bought a long HDMI cable. Possibly there is some setting I can change to make that work, but it's quite disappointing. I use my TV as a large external monitor when home. Battery life is fair. The plug is huge, and won't fit in some strips. I don't even see where the battery might be. I hope it's not the kind that requires a tech to replace. Though it's large (which I like for the screen size), it's fairly light. It fits into my large backpack, which has a padded computer compartment. It's light enough to carry around, if unwieldy. Because it's solid state, it usually is ready for me pretty quickly, but longer if it was fully powered off. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars, but the annoying S mode thing made me choose 3 over 4 stars. For the price, it's not bad. I bought it thinking it was this huge Amazon sale, but I've since determined the price is similar everywhere, or even cheaper.

Highly recommended
Use it for couple of months. Highly recommend! it’s the best value for money I’ve found. I’ve tried other laptops under 500 CAD before, but none of them ran as smoothly as this one. The touchscreen makes the display look crisp and vibrant. If you have the same budget I recommend this laptop.
