This is a great strop. Beavercraft has excellent product support. The leather is premium. The wood used is sufficient. There are no rough edges. The fit and finish are superb. The first one I received was damaged during shipment. I can't really fault any one person or company for the damaged item, however, I reached out to beavercraft and they sent me a brand new one, free of charge. The new one is perfect. Would, and will, buy again. Good job Beavercraft. Thank you.

I bought this and glued it to wooden paddle to make a 'paddle strop' and have been pleased with the leather and the results I get. I really don't think the 'buffing compound' spread very easily or evenly. I ended up scraping that off and using a stick of compound I picked up at Harbor Freight instead.

The leather Strop came as expected, is of good quality leather and with a healthy amount of the compound you use to sharpen knives with. The instructions state that the honing compound should last for several applications... I am guessing that this will last for 100+ applications, so that is a huge plus if you are like me (picky about having your knives super sharp). definitely would buy from this seller again and am very happy with the product!

Good, high-quality leather, and the compound works quite well going from 1000 grit edge pro stone to polished bevel. The sharpness this adds isn't extremely noticeable, but it's definitely there. The included instructions are great.

one side had imperfections in the leather, however it is not relevant to use as the knives I utilize it for are small.

This simple piece of leather and compound did wonders for my carving knife!I switched from softwood to hardwood, and slipped while whittling. Sliced my finger clean open suuuuper fast! Still can't feel much of the finger because of the quick nerve damage.10/10 would use again, but maybe also invest in chainmail gauntlets.

The description is exactly what you receive. so don't focus on the picture. This is a small 2 1/2 by 8" piece of leather and a piece of fine buffing bar broken off to about 1" by 1". I will glue this one on a board and use it for small knives. There is another one on Amazon much larger, with a backing board and double face tape for less money. I am going to order that one for most of my work. This company delivers exactly what they advertize and it came quickly. I just put too much thought in their picture.The leather that arrived had issues on one side, but the other side was very smooth. It will work for what I am going to use it for.

This is what you want to keep all your blades sharp, especially your X-Acto blades on the modeling hobby bench. Don't bother with an expensive sharpening stone or blade sharpening kit. This will restore your blade to its sharpness. Trust me, I was skeptical also. However, I'd use this on my X-Acto blades are my hobby bench and it completely restored my blade to like new. Try it, at this price you can't go wrong.
