Using this to connect my Apple Airport Express to an external dac. So far, it produces solid sound. Have had no problems with it. Great build quality and perfect length for an interconnect.

It’s a niche product but glad it exists, needed for Creative G6 DAC to laptop. Shorty cable was preferred

It works really well for its intended purpose! I'm using it to connect a Chromecast audio to a DAC. Only question is why it needs to be gold plated if it's for light not electricity.

I compared this with two other cables into my iBasso D14: a 1.5ft optical cable that I've had for years (I don't know the brand, sadly) with regular Toslink to mini adapters on both ends, and a similar length Kimber Kable USB cable with ferrite beads. From my MacBook Pro, both my old Toslink cable and the USB cable inputs sounded very similar: relaxed, musical, enjoyable. With this Extreme Audio cable it sounded like an overly bright, unpleasant mess. I had the same experience when using my iRiver H120, and initially thought it was due to lower-res output of that source. Nope, this cable just produces an nasty high frequency glare. It's a damn shame, as it seems the be the only short length mini-to-mini optical cable available. It looks awesome, but the sound provided is awful.

Great quality. Using it to connect my Opus #1 DAP to Onkyo DAC-HA200 via optical input. Recommend it!
