Dvbox 17.38x11.5x4.5 Dryer Venting Box

first of all, this is 100% better than the hard 90 elbow the builders put it. much better for air flow and doesn't let the duct bunch up in the back of the dryer. my only negative is that the outside panel didn't snap in with 1/2 drywall. it's a little loose, but it's ok since i was able to get is secured, and plus it's behind the dryer. i mean who's really going t look back there after i installed it? maybe the next family when i sell this house. overall great product and would buy again if i have another house with a crappy 90 builder's grade elbow duct.

The quality of this box is superb and the price is very reasonable when compared to other dryer boxes out there.

Metal tube coupling could be better attached to the plastic housing. When installing the dryer vent, you can easily push it into the wall if you’re not careful…

First time to do a dryer box. I know how it supposed to go in, and just thought there would be some supporting documentation or even some online video to make sure it was done correctly. Nope.... you're on your own! I read in another review that the box pushed into the wall when they slid the dryer back so I put shims behind the box and put screws through the bottom into the sill plate. Ultimately it worked fine. Also about 12" of aluminum vent is included with the box

It works well. I did not use the thin little piece of aluminum because I already had some straight pipe which is needed to complete the installation anyway. The pipe is squeezed down into an oval so that it will take up 3-1/2”. Which is okay but I made the wall thicker anyway.
