Great way to add some shade
I use these on all my helmets visors clear or dark and with or without Pinlock. I find they stop glare and don’t interfere with visibility and traffic lights or other normal riding. If I do need to look up (like at a traffics light or a surprise crop dusting plane) it’s easy enough to do. Installing is a bit of a trick, takes some patience and time to work the bubbles out, especially the Arai version due to the brow vents.. if you use a Pinlock I install between the Pinlock and shield.I’ve not had any luck moving them from an old to new shield, I tried once and couldn’t get the static cling to take effect.

Listen to the review about cutting it!
I had a hell of time with this product, when it did finally stick and stay on without getting peeled off from opening and closing the shield, the shade was far too low on the shield, it was especially inconvenient when riding through occasional shaded areas and dangerously interfered with visibility as twilight and darkness fell. I had to keep my shield almost fully open to get the shade to be less in the way, not fun on a cold ride back home on the freeway after sunset. After reading queasyRider's 'just cut it' review, I decided to give that a try. I took visual note of where the placement looked best in reference to the Arai eyebrow vents, which for me was having the lowest portion of the shade only coming down about 12mm past the eyebrow vent's lowest point. I then went about marking and cutting the top of the shade off with a hobby knife to shorten it to the reference I made for myself, and to better match the VAS-V pinlock shield and the eyebrow vents. Speaking of which, I dont even know why this company offers an Arai cutout version when it is so far off the mark on the actual helmet that you need to cut it anyway. After cutting, the placement and usefulness of the shade is now MUCH better, I no longer feel like throwing the shade in the garbage can.

just cut it
I'm replacing my original review. It dawned on me to just cut it to size. Duh, right?I supposed scissors will work. I placed it on paper, on pressed board, and cut with utility knife. The cut looks a bit jagged here and there, but it's too fine of a defect for me to notice it when I wear it. But not only did I cut it to fit right, I also made it a bit shorter, the way *I* wanted it.The payoff? I placed the strip on the inside of the clear shield of the SunShield on my Quantum X. Yes, it now sits directly on the fog lens (aka pillock) you can buy for the shield. So riding at speed, the wind does not easily grab it and throw it on the road, the way it did with the strip I applied to the inside of the sun shade. So NOW, when I ride into the sun, this strip plus the sun shade does cut the sun down. Happy riding to ya.

Very Satisfied
I'm very satisfied with this 'sun blocker'. Installation was pretty easy, simple instructions. I removed the faceshield...much easier to position the sunblocker and remove bubbles. I often ride heading east in the morning and the sunblocker is very effective at reducing sun glare by 60% or so. Much better than without. I can easily see under the sunblocker under normal conditions. It doesn't interfere with overall visibility. Very satisfied.

Simple, Effective Sun Block
This simple and easily installed strip of plastic greatly neutralizes solar glare at all times of day, and most importantly early and late in the day. It enables clear vision straight ahead at the same time that it tints the sun from above. I have used this product for many years in previous helmets. Now my new Aria has one.
