Fun and unique pool tube!
Purchased this for my partner for Father's Day knowing all the while the grandkids would get a kick out of it. So much fun I ordered a second for races around the pool. The mechanism on one stopped working soon after we got it, but the company backed their product and is sending another piece to replace it. They responded within a day. I'm so pleased they have the integrity to back up their product.

The handle is not waterproof.
I bought the large lounger with 2 propellers and the small tube with one propeller. The lounger lasted just over a month before one of the propellers stopped working. So I can’t send it back. The small one stopped working after 3 uses. I'm trying to replace it now; but PoolCandy is making that difficult.I started the return. The instructions said that I would get a new one and that I needed to ship back the broken one within 7 days from receiving the new one. Then without any notification, they cancelled my order for the new one.I only knew that it was cancelled after it didn't arrive - and I had to search for the order in Amazon. They buried the cancellation so you couldn't see it unless you were actively looking for it.I called Amazon and they said that the order was cancelled by PoolCandy.Amazon got me in touch with PoolCandy and now we’re exchanging messages. They are asking me what happened with the float and if I’ve sent the old one back yet - and if not, why.Why they can’t just stick to the exchange plan is beyond me.These are junk. Not worth the money nor the hassle. The one plus is that the lounger is comfortable. But I would look for a non-propeller version.UPDATE: All the original motors have quit working. I did receive a replacement from PoolCandy for the smaller tube. But I'm still exchanging messages on how to return the old one since they cancelled the exchange through Amazon. For the two broken propellers on the lounger, I have figured out the problem is with the micro limit switch inside the handle. It is not waterproof and the handle is not water proof. So as soon as you get moisture inside the handle, it's game over. And it's really easy to get water inside the handle from the gaps around the button. If you have really wet hands and you push down on the button, water can drip from your hands inside the handle.I believe rain also causes this because two of the three motors that failed were working when we stopped using them.It was when we tried to use them on days after it had rained that we discovered that the two quit working.Another issue that I found is that they have this very thin piece of plastic that is delicately suspended between the red button and the limit switch. That little piece of plastic breaks off *VERY* easily - and when that happens, the button can no longer press the switch. This can be fixed by just gluing that little piece of plastic to the bottom of the red button. The micro limit switches are cheap. I found replacements on Amazon for ~$7 for a dozen. And I'm also getting silicone conformal coating for ~$20. I should be able to replace and waterproof the switches with these two items and some wire, solder, etc. that I already have.If all of this works out, then I'm glad I got these floats. They are fun and guests often fight over the lounger because it is so comfortable. But if I can't get this to work; then it was a huge waste of money. After thought: Maybe an easier fix would be to put condoms over the handles. It wouldn't be pretty, but it would be a conversation starter.

Soooo much fun!
I had this for a couple of years and drove it around in a pool and a lake, and I loved it !!!!!! It doesn’t go tooooo fast but fast enough to where it’s fun!! But be careful with getting water in the batteries it will rust and not work. It finally gave up on me in a river float when the tides were low! Otherwise it’s easy to patch up! Comes with a patch anyways. Flex seal will work just fine. Keep in mind the batteries for it will be like $20!!!!!!!!

High maintenance tube if you want it to last
Overall, I give this 4 stars. This tube is a little smaller than a standard pool tube, but not uncomfortably. My 6'4" husband of average build manages to sit in it just fine for a time. The bottom of the tube is not netting like some, but rather solid vinyl so it will hold any water that would get into the tube. The battery compartment is not watertight, so you will want to be cautious when letting moisture enter/stay in this area. You would not want the tube floating upside down in the water or just sitting out in the sun or water at any time when not in use. This tube will require you to work if you want it to last. After each use, I remove the batteries and disconnect the motor so it will fully dry out. I then store the tube in a secure area - out of water, sun, and animal damage. This is not a tube you can leave lying about with batteries in it 24/7. As this tube requires 6 D-sized batteries, we use rechargeable batteries, which work very well. We use our tube on the river to help us fight the current, keeping our "raft island" from floating back into shore. It has enough power to do this on the rechargeable batteries, and we can get an entire day of use on one fully charged set. This is not a rugged tube, but it should be OK with some care and caution.

Riding tubes
The kids played with them the first time, but they were hard to control and not as fast as it looks in the video.I wouldn’t buy them again

Batteries fried - Company will not send new unit - Caused damage to float and will not work.
Bought the Poolcandy Tube Runner Motorized Water Float in July and used for the weekend. Notice Black residue by motor area. Batteries fried - no water in Battery area. Contacted and asked for a new one - 3 months later still no replacement or refund. Paid $105 for a bad product.I sent the information to the manufacturer within days of receiving the malfunctioned item, I saw just recently they asked for pictures - I sent the ones showing. Today I get a message back stating its past the 30 days and I can buy replacement parts?????? VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH A VERY SHADY BUSINESS.They also deny any problem and state it must be my BATTERIES????? I show the batteries - DURACELL,,,,,,,,POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

It does exactly what it says it will do in the description. A good value!!
This little gem takes 4 “D” batteries and runs like a champ. We floated in our canal with it. You can navigate in any direction. It was doing doughnuts. Our 80 pound lab was hanging on to it and it would drag both of us in the direction I requested. Now, I have not tried it on the river in a strong current so I’ve no idea how it will hold up to that. But as far as water in a pool, or moving very slowly, totally recommend it.
