40 Pack Fungus Gnat Traps, Yellow Sticky Fruit Fly Traps for Indoor Plants

This is my second round ordering and I LOVE these. Sometimes the sticker is a little hard to remove in one go, but ultimately they pull off every time. I use them in each of my plants after I used bug infested soil and within a DAY these stickers worked like magic.

These sticky traps are excellent! High quality and very affordable. The package also came with a tiny, adorable shovel. They are already effective, catching numerous gnats infesting my plants.

We replanted some plants in our office and as a result got an immeasurable amount of gnats that built up. By the end of day one using these the population was drastically - by the end of the week they were almost entirely eradicated. These work as discussed. In large plants I placed 2 or 3. Small plants 1. Good value for the outcome!

These work in having gnats and random flying bugs stick to them. However, when you are removing the paper the product will stick to you as well. Sometimes the backing paper will not come off in one pull and you have to try and get ahold to remove the remainder of it. Quite annoying when your fingers become stuck to the product.

After placing these throughout the infested places, I had my doubts they would work. The infestation was extreme. They didn't work for the first day. The next day, they started working. With each day, more and more were captured. Today is the fourth day. They are almost completely eradicated. Just a few stragglers remain. I am so happy. So, if you have a bit of patience, you too will win the battle. Just place stickies in small containers, add a couple of drops of wine to the stickies, and wait.

What a pleasure to write a review for a product that does exactly what it says it will do and at a very reasonable price! For $7.99 plus tax you get 40 of these sticky yellow butterflies which are meant to catch gnats, fruit flies and other pesky little flying bugs. We were plagued with an infestation of fruit flies and I do not use the word "plagued" lightly. I have no idea where they came from (we keep a very clean house) but one day there seemed to be hundreds of them everywhere - especially congregating near the kitchen sink. Following some online instructions we concocted a mixture of apple cider vinegar with a little sugar and a dark of dish soap in a plastic container, covered it with Saran Wrap, and poked small holes in the top. The idea behind this is that the bugs are attracted to the smell of the mixture, they enter the container through the small holes but then get trapped inside and cannot get out. This worked to capture a very few of the fruit flies but the problem persisted until we added these sticky butterflies to the top of each jar that contained the mixture. The result was almost immediate! Within minutes we had several dozen of these fruit flies stuck to the yellow butterflies - see attached (somewhat disgusting) photos. We placed a few of these butterflies in different locations throughout the house - including in the soil of our house plants - and each butterfly managed to trap at least some of the tiny bugs - though none came close to the one we put in the kitchen sink. I don't know if this will completely alleviate our problem, but so far these sticky butterflies have gone a long way to getting rid of dozens of the nasty bugs. If you have a fruit fly or gnat problem, I can highly recommend these sticky butterflies as an inexpensive fix that really works!

These indoor gnat traps are better at reducing gnats than anything we've tried so far. Apparently, we used we used gnat fungus infested potting soil when replanting a few house plants a couple of months ago. I have been fighting a gnat infestation ever since. We've used a bug zapper in close proximity, non-toxic flea and tic spray, hydrogen peroxide with water, and apple cider vinegar with dish detergent. All of which barely reduced those nasty little buggers. Within 24 hours of placing these yellow gnat traps in and around the infested potted plants the bug zapper is silent! Oh joy! I enjoy my coffee looking out the window past these plants every morning! So every morning I would see gnats flittering around the house plants. The apple cider vinegar didn't work at all. The bug spray and watering the plants with hydrogen peroxide and water helped with a bug zapper plugged in nearby, but all of that can't keep up with how fast they multipling. And, after a bit of initial satisfaction, hearing gnats electrocuted day and night is disturbing. Our older, big, bad GSH would move to the other end of the room every time she heard a gnat get zapped. And I hated seeing them every morning! Some of the poor reviews I read almost put me off trying these things. I DO NOT AGREE with any of the negative reviews. I read reviews about them not being sticky enough to hold onto a gnat. That's not true! Did they not remove the paper covering the two sticky sides? I also read something about them being too flimsy to put in a potted plant. What?! That's not true either. These things work great for trapping gnats. I would guess the glue is strong enough to catch something all the way up to a fly. And you can kind of place them at an angle so that they mostly disappear. Certainly, they aren't as unsightly as fly paper. However, I don't think these traps do anything to reduce the fungus itself. For now, we will continue using the flea tick spray and watering the plants with the hydrogen peroxide to see if we can eventually stop using the traps. At least the bugs zappers have gone silent. Small victory. Some of these are fairly big plants, and one of them is a type of cactus that we've had for many years. So tossing them and starting over is not a good solution. Needless to say, we'll better inspect any new potting soil from now on. Stupid gnats. I've only begun to fight! Lol
