yes, but make sure you do not attach too heavy item on it

Q: Is it possible to attach a lightweight shelf to the end of this boom arm to support a 2kg projector?

it it strong enough but not sure whether the attachment of the boom matches the attach point of the projector.

Q: Can I attach a regular camera on it? Needed to film top view videos

Yes it is a regular screw mount for a standard camers, after trying a number of mounts & finding them very flimsy this one is considerably more robust than most, will easy carry a large DSLR at full extension & is very stable.

Q: I have a ring light but am unsure how it would attach?

yes it should be ok to most of the ring lights if not , an adapter may be needed but it should be a small problem that can be easily solved
