The picture shows the product is bait blocks(chunx), however the description says"Contains 9 lbs of loose pelleted bait" could you clarify. Thank you

This product does come in blocks which is how we purchased it, i bought part #31218 18 lbs. The container should say chunx as well because the product does come in pellets. Also the Jaguar works great to alternate with.

Do I need to put some peanut butter on the bait stick, or will these darn rats be attracted to it alone?

They will be attracted without anything additional, however, a little peanut butter stuffed in each end never hurts. Just be sure and wear gloves when handling bait blocks.

What is the shelf life if stored in a dark, cool and dry place, original container???

check with manufacturer ...motomco.com..My supply is over a year old and I stored it in my greenhouse. The only problem I had was the critters found it and chewed the container to get to the bait.So I put it in a metal container.
