Lindt EXCELLENCE 85% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Candy Bar, 3.5 oz., 12 Pack

I have one square of-the dark chocolate every day. It’s a great value when you purchase by the 12 pack. When you buy it by the each in the store, it’s a lot more expensive. It arrived in cold package to keep it from melting. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

This is amazing chocolate, so rich and creamy. I really don’t miss more sugary at all (I have already been cutting back on my sugar intake). The worst thing is the caffeine. I’m very caffeine sensitive, and I find myself waking up at night on the days I have it - even if I have it at lunch. Much as I love this chocolate, having it in the morning with my coffee seems a little too extreme!

Over the years I’ve transitioned from Hershey's dark to the Lindt 95%, but spouse wants something not quite as dark. These fit the bill. The chocolate is rich and not sweet-it takes a bit to get used to but once you do you’ll stick with these. The price is right and we buy the 12 pk to always have on hand. Versatile to enjoy plain, with PB or melt for a dip in recipes. I’ve been enjoying these since 2003 and the quality has remained excellent. We do keto and there’s roughly about 2.5 grams net carbs per small bar (7 grams net in 3 bars which they consider a serving size).

Lindt produces high quality chocolate bars and sells them at a reasonable price.

This is my go to chocolate. I like the way it is processed i.e. it retains all of its " value". My first delivery was in an a cold packaging which was the correct way to send this product 2nd delivery today there was no "cold pack"inside the container. Thats poor customer service. I will be much more diligent in the future if I purchase this again.

I love a bit of high percentage dark chocolate after dinner and the fact that there's such a low sugar content. I also enjoy the health benefits. The one thing that many don't realize is that high percentage cocoa in dark chocolate, percentage wise, has more caffeine than coffee (as a scientist I was aware of this, but hadn't experienced it as I had never eaten it within a few hours of bed). I have to be VERY careful eating it if I have it after a late dinner or I'll be awake most of the night. I tried the three square serving size (as a special treat) and that was too much too. I was wide awake and clear headed at 2am (it's a different caffeine feel than my espresso and coffee- more clean and no jitters). I'm going to try just one square only after earlier dinners. I'm hoping that won't be enough to disrupt my sleep as I love to eat little pieces of it and savor it after a lovely dinner when I crave a little sweet. So far only 85% has done it. I've had 70-72% before and it didn't happen, but it wasn't this brand. I also purchased the 70% in Lidnt, just in case, and it will arrive soon. If one square of the 85% proves to be too much caffeine within a few hours of bedtime, I'll switch to 70% and save the 85% for earlier or when I need to wake up lol. I don't often want even low sugar sweets during the day. I do prefer the 85% flavor, but losing sleep negates health benefits and the joy of enjoying the treat. I will update after trying this brand of 70%. I wish the 85% could taste exactly the same, have the health benefits, but be low caffeine or decaffeinated without losing benefits as I do prefer the low sugar, higher cocoa percentage flavor much better!

Rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying. Perfect for dark‑chocolate lovers. Pros: Intense flavor, high quality. Cons: Bitter for some tastes.

Not only does the chocolate taste good, but the way it was packaged is impressive. One inch foam padding on all sides, freezer pack and additional wrapping insured that the chocolate arrived in excellent condition!

Great chocolate for both cooking and eating But the packaging from Amazon is hideous I think somebody must’ve been having a joke with the amount of Sellotape that was used!
