Amazing book
Cherese Akhavein's review Dec 22, 2020 ·it was amazingWow where should I start, each and every one of these stories (14 in all ) was like all the authors gifted you with a early Christmas gift. Every single story is heartfelt and holds its own special Christmas message, some of the stories are short but are in no way lacking for a powerful connection that we have all come to expect with our full length books and favorite characters, where as other stories are longer and you will find that the scripture and message within just as fun, loving and yes you will need a tissue at times. If you want a new authors to try out this may be a good book to pick up as it has 14 in my opinion wonderful authors. Yes this is a wonderful Christmas collection and I would highly recommend it. I really wish we could give a higher star rating. In my opinion this book deserves five star’s for each author for a total of 70 star’s

Huge paperback!
I bought this for a gift for a friend who reads every Amish fiction book she can find. What a nice gift it was, too. I can't report on any of the stories in it, but I do wish the cover photo was different. It's kind of a faded blah! It's perfect for those who love to read about the Amish life style, and love the Christmas holidays. Also nice as a gift to introduce a reader to the Amish culture.

Not Christmas miracles stories
These are dime-store romances written by Amish ladies who all took the same writing class and follow the same plot outline--a secret, a death (tragic accident or cancer), page upon page UPON PAGE of repetitive inner thoughts sloooowly revealing the secret until it is revealed, discussed, and the couple marries. Only two refreshing stories, the third and the last, don't dwell on marriage. Apparently the Amish have nothing in life to think about beyond marriage and children, or so these authors expect you to believe. It is my fault that once I start a book, I force myself to finish--all 700 pages of this drivel; well, 600 pages. 100 pages were good. But don't do it.

Sweet Romance
I have never read anything by Mary Alford before. "A Christmas Homecoming" was one of fourteen stories in this "Amish Christmas Miracles" book. This was a sweet short Amish story. This was a heartfelt story with people coming together after some misunderstandings. I will be reading more from Mary Alford.
