I've always thought plate frames should be minimalistic and unobtrusive. Until now I've always purchased thin black powder-coated or chrome-plated frames. I didn't realize these silicone frames existed until very recently, so I thought I'd give them a try. I hesitate to really call them "frames" as they're really more of a silicone mat, but they lightly wrap the front of the plate and completely cover the backside. The silicone is highly flexible and it's very easy to slip your license plate in with bare hands. The tolerances seem good as it holds the license plate very securely without much wiggle room. There's holes for the screw mounts and water drainage at the bottom which all line up and work well. The thin wrap-around design allows all important information on the plates to be legally displayed; my home state of Oregon has the expiration stickers at the bottom of the plate and these frames don't obscure anything, unlike some of the chunky decorative frames. It comes with eight large, coarse-thread, Philips-head stainless steel screws for mounting, but were too large for my application. Oddly the frames are packaged in a re-closeable zip-lock pouch. As expected, these are made in China, but quality seems good and the price is acceptable. I'd buy them again if needed.

Very practical. My state requires front and back plates and my new car's license plate screwed directly onto the car itself with nothing between. This encloses the edges of the license plate subtly enough that it's not noticeable while the solid back protects the car. It has drainage slots in it as well, nice design feature. I put it on my car 2 years and 10 months ago and have not touched it since.

I almost missed these! I was all set to order some expensive carbon fiber frames, and then I saw a review for these. I'm so glad I did. I'm 73 and have arthritis in my hands, but I had NO PROBLEMS inserting the license plates into these silicone frames. As others have mentioned, the frame indicates top and bottom, so rain can drain out, I think, so you need to be mindful of that when putting the frames onto the plates. I had no problems attaching these to my car. I love the sleek, clean look and the silicone keeps the plates from banging against the car while driving, so no scratching of paint and no noise. I highly recommend these silicone frames.

They look better than just having a bare plate and the provided hardware seems high quality with short and long screw options. Good value overall. The reason for the 4 rating is that they do not fit as tight around the plate as I would like, as such the bottom of the plate will slip out when the car is being washed (my Toyota plate mounds don't have bottom holes, which might prevent this). I also don't like that the screw holes go/are behind the plate. I was hoping they would go over the plate in order to completely cover the plate holes, but couldn't tell from the photos (at the time). Not a huge deal, but had I known they were in the back I wouldn't have bought them.

I am in NJ, and it fits the plates perfectly, the screws that came with it were not used because I used the original screws from my Tesla which are smaller. I would recommend this product. I will follow up next year to see if there is any color fading.

I got two silicone license plate frames in my order. One for the front and one for the rear. Each is identical and made from good quality silicone which is thick yet flexible. You can pretty easily insert your plate and then mount it to your car. This way you won’t scratch the paint. This part works well and you can easily tell the paint will be fine. Each frame also has small drain holes to prevent water buildup after a hard rain. These also work well. Just make sure to install in the proper orientation. This is not the highest quality frame in existence, but it doesn’t need to be. It works well and is the right price. Would definitely buy again!!
