CAT Construction Toy Control Truck - Turning Limitations a Turn Off for My Grandson
This review is for the "CAT Construction Toys, Junior Crew Lil' Movers Remote Control Truck".We just received this toy, and my grandson tried playing with it, then just walked away.Having played with other toys that "turn normally" he lost interest when having to sort out how to back up and turn in only one direction.I tried playing with the toy and to be honest, the lack of turning has resulted in the toy being virtually useless. I wish the product description on the website was clearer on this limitation.I will post an update if our experience changes, but given what I initially know and saw, I would not recommend this toy at all !

Not bad, but......
My 3 year old loves this toy however if the big scoop is down it will make a lot of noise or get stuck. He can easily control it.

Simple, durable, easy for my 2YO to use. Get rechargable AAAs.
Great simple RC truck for my 2YO son, who loves trucks. This is simple enough for him to use. He doesn't use the reverse function much, he prefers to run after it and turn it and then send it on it's way. The reverse has a cam system that makes it turn (like a 3-point-turn) but it only turns very slightly on carpet. On wood/tile, it makes great turns. Again not a big deal since my son runs after it and turns it by hand anyway. I do wish the second button was just a rotate (a long time ago my daughter had an RC truck that one button just rotated in place, really easy to use) but I can't seem to find anything like that anymore.I recommend getting some rechargeable AAAs for the truck. We've had it a month and I've replaced the 4 AAAs in the truck at least 3x times. My son knows to turn the switch on, but never thinks to turn it off! The remote takes 2, and I've never had to replace them even though it's been left on much of the time. If you're ever not sure which of the 2 pieces has dead batteries--the truck will flash headlights when you turn the switch on. If you don't see that, the truck is dead. There's not a ton of power here--if you put something like a ball or a cup of water inside, it will go pretty slow. But hey it's a pretty durable and affordable truck that survives the abuse of a toddler. A great deal all around.

My 2 year old loves it but....
This is probably my 2 year old's favorite Christmas present. It's simple enough for him to use on his own, but this thing is a battery guzzler. Between the truck and the remote, it takes six AAA batteries. The truck and remote each have an on/off switch, and if you forget to turn one or both off, the batteries die so fast. We went through 12 AAA batteries since Christmas, and it's only the second week of January.
