I’ve been using this container for a while and have tried several others before. This one is definitely the best at trapping odors, even during the summer. Now in winter, there’s no smell at all. I wish it came in a larger size since I have two large dogs—it fits perfectly by the end of the week, and I wouldn’t want to have two of them. Overall, it’s a great product.

Updated June 2021: I've had this a few months now and it's summer and hot & humid. As to be expected, the smell is strong when you open however, this can truly keeps the smell inside til you open it. I buy 8 gal trash bags to line it with and empty it once a week to throw out. We have 3 dogs (2 large &1 small) and it is doing the job. I've tried metal pails with lids (the couldn't get the lid off sometimes espcially if it got dented,), I've tried small waste baskets & line with wal-mart bags but it's awful if it rains and creates quite a mess. So I love this. The handle keeps the lid secure and is't flimsy. So far, so good. Heavy enough to leave outside and not worry about it falling over. Nice seal-no odor when the lid is closed and it seems air tight. Beware of the odor when you do open, as to be expected though. I haven’t attached the disposable waste bag holder on it though. This company was prompt in responding when I discovered it was missing extra bags inside.

I have owned this product since April 26, 2021, and today is February 23, 2022. Granted, there is no pleasant way to take care of the pet poop in your yard! It stinks, it draws flies and maggots, and it even creates a lot of moisture in the closed bin even in the winter. There is nothing pleasant about this job. In fact, only yesterday, I saw another one of those trucks that had the signage on it that showed "We clean up your pet poop on your property." This job is so unpleasant that there our individuals who actually pay for someone to pick it up for them. I suppose they also take the waste bags with them, too! We have a large female German Shepherd and a female Australian Red Heeler. We had been storing our waste pickups in trash bags, but you could smell the poop when you walked into that area on the back veranda. This waste disposal bin has a very tight lid, and it keeps the smell contained. But beware, the smell is strong when you open that lid! Remember, it's poop, and it creates a lot of bacteria in there! I remove the bags every week, and then I hose down both the bins. Keeping your bins clean inside and outside are a MUST if you want to clean off any debris, maggots and/or the smell. NOTE: I always wear latex gloves when I am handling the removal of the full bags and hosing down the bins. I noticed that quite a few people talk about the handle(s) breaking off. Well, one of our handles broke off only a few months after we had it. All I was trying to do was rotate it back into the lock position with no extra pressure on the handle, and it just snapped in half! However, I actually found two appropriate metal braces and 6 of the right size screws with washers in my garage workshop area. I am a 70 year old woman, and it took me about 30 minutes to find all the parts and get it all back together. Two things: 1) I actually glued the broken handle with super glue, and then I attached the metal brace with 3 screws so it held it together while the glue dried, and 2) I also attached another metal brace with 3 screws to the other handle which was not broken, but I did it as a preventive measure. NOTE: The screws have to be about the length as seen in the photos otherwise they will interfere with the rotation of the handle in and out of the lock position. Last of all, replacement bags are hard to find. I decided to use 2 bags every week, placing one bag inside the other bag, because of the amount of poop from our two dogs. Yep, it's heavy! However, these bags are still a little small for the bins, so I just place my two hands inside the top of one of the bags, and I slowly stretch it out. I rotate the bag 1/2 turn, place my hands inside it, and then I slowly stretch it again. After doing the two stretches, I insert one bag at a time onto the inner gray bin, lock the side pins, and drop it in the main bin. I gave it 4 stars because I can't get REAL replacement bags right now for it, and I am also seeking warranty assistance for the broken handle. Hope they honor it!

Great size and really like that the lid locks down.

Wasn't sure we were going to like this but it's pretty amazing. Big enough that we don't need to dump for a week or so, and we have 2 good size dogs (45 lb & 55 lb). It's tucked away on our side yard. Yes you can smell it as it gets fuller and when you open the lid. But we can even sit near it and not notice. And I have a very sensitive nose. We will buy our own sacks once the ones are gone, make sure you measure so you can get the correct size. And so far the filter is great. We will replace as needed with their replacements.

The moment I assembled this I knew I'd love it. Perfect addition for the kitty litter where "doggy bags" were infuriating me. They were thin, tore, wouldn't hold steady when placing kitty litter in them with the scoop, resulting in smelly litter getting everywhere. This PetFusion bin fixed ALL the problems, and instead of creating a new problem of smell, since this bin can sit through a few fillups before needing to go outside, it seals up solid with the handle in the upright position (handle compresses the lid). It's a sturdy plastic construction, rubber and plastic clips to hold the bag to the inner liner, and an easy lift-seal-throw away bag system. Works with normal trash bags from the grocery too, so this is an all around winner. For the reviews about not sealing the scent, I'm not sure if maybe they're doing something different or not lifting the handle to the upright position? Because when that handle is up this bin is Fort Knox. There's even a replaceable silica absorber-pack that sits on the under-side of the lid with its own suspension pouch to help eat the permeating oder/moisture. 10/10 would recommend.

Contains the smell! Which is essential, because we leave this outside in the hot weather and only empty it out once a week. It reeks when you open the container to dump waste or swap out the lining, but once closed, this thing works great. For the lining, we use SimpleHuman D sized trash bags. It's a hint too long, but it works better than alternatives so far.

I use this to house my dog's bagged up poops for the two weeks between bin collections. The lid forms a tight seal so there is no poopy odour once it is shut (but hold your breath when opening it!) and therefore no flies buzzing around either. It is watertight so no problem with rain getting in. A very efficient and nose-friendly way of managing dog hygiene.

Very nice waste container! Easy setup. Extra starter liner bags. I will use Kitchen Catchers - tall, when the supplied sample bags run out. Very well made, nice and neat looking. The poop pickup baggie container on the side of the main unit is very roomy, and guite convenient. I use the main unit for my dogs poop bag waste, but occasionally use for cats too. Havent tried putting raw waste, without a baggie, in it, but I could, because the inner container is lined with a bags. When the top is closed and the handle is up, there is NO odor at all. The charcoal odor absorber, inside the top of the waste container helps too, and is quite handy. Wish there was a way to replace when needed. My one complaint: Dont like the size. It would be nice if there was a taller version also. Other than that, have no complaints at all. Highly recommend!

I have only just received this morning but all looks good. Very tight lid closure. I like how you clip the plastic bag to the sides of the inner bin. Love the idea of the charcoal filter. Well manufactured. Arrived very well packaged and complete. I am not attaching the bag dispenser which I will mount inside in the laundry. We have lots of flies here in Queensland, Australia so I am hoping this bin will help with this. I am intending to keep it in the shade under a tree.
