Works and appears to be Exactly as advertised.
I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Very Heavy Duty and Light-weight at the same time. Works perfectly to hold your logs for cutting. Folds up easily and takes up only a couple inches of thickness. I know most demos show someone putting one log on it at a time, but I pile it up full and just start cutting so I can cut many logs at same effort. Holds lots of weight. I can easily fill it until I can not pile logs any higher, and it never flexes. Remember it's designed so you do NOT cut anything in the center....even though we all do to save time. Just be careful to not push down too hard or when the chainsaw cuts thru the logs you will hit the metal rack and wear out your chain. It appears complicated to build and I do not think the instructions are the best, but there are videos on the internet that make it so easy to figure out. I built it in my computer room while playing/pausing the video. Took about 20-30 minutes total without rushing. I highly recommend. I hesitated for a couple years because of the price. Kicking myself now that I realize how nice this product makes cutting wood up. Good Luck.

Good product
Assembling it can be a bit tricky but the sawhorse works well just be sure to have the legs 'locked' before using so the sawhorse doesn't collapse!! A true back & time saver

Good design features but crappy assembly directions
I chose this product because it was exactly what I needed: a lightweight, portable, folding sawbuck. The good news is that after I finally got it together, it is great. The bad news is that the instructions are worse than worthless: they are downright deceptive, with the pictures not matching the actual parts. I spent 3 hours (including bending a bolt and going to the store for a new one, and a call to Oregon helpline) trying to follow the directions. The only way I could assemble it was to ignore the instructions and treat it as a puzzle and put it together by trial and error, which involved getting it almost together and then having to take it apart and begin again a few times. I begin to understand those folks who never read the instructions.I can give a couple of pointers: first thing, to begin with, open up the sawbuck legs and pull down the adjustable brace bar onto the part that sticks out on the other leg. If you put it together without doing that first, you'll never be able to get the bars down. Second, don't tighten any of the bolts until you have it completely together in workable condition. The bolts they give you remind you to do this b/c they only hand-tighten a few turns. That's all the advice I have because I was so frustrated & stressed that all I wanted to do was get it to work, and so I didn't stop to take notes--plus there were several attempts so it's harder to remember the one that worked. Bottom line: it is a great design, and it does actually fit together well in the end, but you need to be able to figure out how to put it together on your own. I think the one I got was a return (missing wrenches--no biggie since I have sockets).I understand why it might be more difficult for Chinese companies to have good English directions, but why can't these American companies who have their products made in China make a worthwhile investment in good technical writers for their instructions (give some work to all the English majors out there). Or are they just waiting for some fool to Amazon answer it for free?

A True Back Saver and Time-Saver for Large Projects
The Oregon Steel Log Saw Horse has been a game-changer for our project. We’re building a mile-long wooden wall, and this sawbuck has made it so much easier to measure and cut the logs and saplings perfectly. Before using this, I always had to lean over to cut close to the ground, which was tough on my back and slowed me down. Now, I can stand up straight while cutting, and the work is much more efficient. It’s not just saving my back; it’s also saving me time, allowing me to get more done each day. The adjustable height and sturdy build make it ideal for handling large logs, and the foldable design is a bonus for easy storage. If you’re tackling big projects and need something that can handle heavy-duty work while making your life easier, this saw horse is a must-have!
