I purchased these lanterns for a birthday celebration for my 30 year old nephew. We lost him unexpectedly on Christmas Day 2020 to a seizure disorder. These lanterns were a beautiful way to finally honor him (as we put off a funeral due to Covid).We lost a few lanterns right at the beginning, but quickly figured them out. You first assemble each lantern, which is very simple. You then open them fully. One you light one, you hold it in place near the ground and wait for it to get hot enough to release. We did ours on a wooden bridge, so we never let them touch the floor. They kind of tell you when they’re ready. (Please don’t just drop them in the water, like a few in our party did). It also helps if you have two people. These lanterns are huge and so beautiful. I wished we had waited until it was a bit darker, but the video we were able to get at sunset was just gorgeous. We were all very pleased. I plan to buy them again next year.

Worked well with patience. The fuel disc needs to be secured well to the lantern before lighting. Allow the lantern to fill up with plenty of hot air before trying to send it up in the sky. All lanterns came in good condition. These need adult assistance so do not let children use these.

I bought a 30 pack very fast delivery nice packaging there thin but that’s expected very easy to assemble lighting takes about 45 seconds they blew rt up an went about 1500 ft in the air they were for my sons memorial an they were great there were about 4 that had a tear in them but I taped it an it worked def worth it there beautiful

I have around eight years of experience supplying, preparing, instructing, and lighting paper lanterns for large groups at New Year's Eve parties. Last night was my first complete failure and these particular lanterns are entirely at fault. Of the 20 lanterns I prepped, *every single one* failed due to one or more of the following:- Wire tabs on many of these were too short and/or thin to secure fuel puck, and prone to falling out. This happened for a number of already lit lanterns and I'm relieved no one's feet were burned.- Paper is excessively flimsy and dangerously flammable. Indirect contact with puck flame burns large holes in the lantern. More than one lantern went up in flames altogether.- Lantern is not securely attached to wire hoop and a number of these tore off in a light breeze.

We only lit 2 out of 20 lanterns but they worked great both of them worked. They looked beautiful up in the sky and it was definitely worth the money.

I have been buying and settling off sky lanterns every October for the past 14 years in memory of my baby I lost. These are terrible. I bought the 20 pack and 4 of them had holes in them where they were supposed to be sealed. They are oversized it took a long time for them to fill up with hot air. The wax pad easily set fire but had a huge flame that touched the sides of the lantern catching the lanterns on fire. Three of the lanterns we had to put out with water because they caught on fire. They are supposed to be fire resistant but they easily caught fire very fast. The few that we did get to launch were wobbly while flying and looked very unsafe. So instead of a beautiful loving birthday memorial we had a stressful scary dangerous memorial. *Note for anyone looking to buy sky lanterns... buy them from the firework stands during the 4th of July season. The sky lanterns I've gotten from them have been the best I've ever set off.

Wow! My friends and I lit some of these over a lake . We didn’t hold them on the floor so it took some unique engineering. Three of us had to hold it to help give it shape before it inflated and one of us had to act as a wind barrier so the flammable square would light. The end result was amazing! These fly so high into the sky. It’s perfect for wish making !

We loved pretty much everything about this lantern experience. The lanterns were huge, a lot bigger than I expected. Allow yourself some time to learn how to use them, we practiced with one. Follow the instructions! Be careful because they will burn if you do not have them fully open. If they burn they will not float. They were beautiful in the dark sky!
