Kindle Paperwhite Skin Kit/Decal - Starry Night - Vincent Van Gogh

I bought this to personalize my Kindle Paperwhite (6 inches) and to protect it from scratches. I usually "dress up" my laptops and iPads with skins. The Blossoming Almond Tree decal was on sale, and I decided to buy it. Easy to apply and fits the e-reader perfectly. It is very beautiful. I love looking at it. Nice quality. Nice price cut. I didn't take my Kindle out of it's plastic cover to keep it lint free and clean until the decal and a screen protector arrived. To charge the Kindle with the plastic cover still on, I cut a slit on the bottom with a scissor on the plastic cover the Kindle came in, only cutting wide enough to access the charging port, and I just reinforced the cut area with a piece of tape on the front and back of the plastic to prevent the plastic from tearing. I bought the screen protector separately. The Blossoming Almond Tree decal doesn't come with a screen protector. I ordered the decal and the screen protector the same time I ordered the Kindle. The decal arrived in the same package as the Kindle. The screen protector arrived 5 days later.

This is a great skin for a Kindle Paperwhite- it's a thick vinyl that seems unlikely to tear or stretch or get damaged in any way. Application was fairly easy, and it helps to watch the video they provide on the product page. My only critique, which I deducted a star for, is that the color of the "Blossoming Almond" print is not properly represented in the photos- it is not a soft blue at all, but more of a rich teal. It's a fairly dramatic difference, but I've grown used to the teal now and will be keeping it.I guess my other critique, which I did not deduct a star for, would be that since it is an original Van Gogh print, it would be nice if they had licensed it from the copyright owners, or at least made a small donation to charity for each one sold- it bugs me when companies rip off original artwork, even if they copyright is technically expired.

My wife was looking at covers for her recently purchased Kindle, and this was included as one of the optons. She liked the looks of this "cover" so I purchased it for her as a kind of little surprise. When it arrived I saw that it was merely a stick on decal and did not protect the screen at all. It would be foolish in my view to attach this since with a cover that protects the kindle from damage, it would not be visible.

I did not like it because.... I only used the skin tit for the back part of the kindle..if u use it for the side u r reading the skin ft is narrow and it is deterring for reading the text.. I lft it on the back only I would recommend the kit for use onlly

Picked up one of these on a lark with an AmazonLocal voucher. I prefer the grip of the engineered plastic on the back of the Kindle Paperwhite to the slicker finish of this decal. It also smells like a pool to me. I expect the latter bit to fade over time, but I don't dig the subtle reminder that I'm handling soft plasticizers for hours on end. It is easy to install and easy to remove, and looks just like the pictures.

I didn't take all the precautions given on the label, my kindle was brand new out of the box, so I didn't need to clean it. I'm happy to say that the sticker was wonderful, the back part was easier for me than the front part, I did have to readjust the front part once or twice, the quality of the sticker was good that it didn't rip, or change color when i removed it to readjust it, and it's perfect now, i've been taking my kindle with me everywhere. I love this particular image, it's hard to get bored of, and i love the colors. Even if this design isn't your style, I highly recommend you buy one from Decalgirl cause their product is of high quality.

Love it! It's beautiful. It was surprisingly easy to apply, and I really like the feel of it. I think it's important, in order to insure a nice fit to your device, that when applying to be sure not to "stretch" the skin. A gentle touch is all it takes, and wa-la.... it's on beautifully with no air bubbles. My daughter was jealous so I ended up ordering one for her Kindle keyboard as well. I was afraid hers would be trickier to apply because of all the little buttons, but it was a breeze, too.

I love how my kindle looks with this decal. The material is very sturdy and it has a matte finish. I have not attempted to remove it so I am not sure if it will leave any binding residue behind. The only reason why I did not give it a five-star rating is because I thought it would be an actual plastic skin and not a sticker. The edges of your kindle will be exposed so they will not be protected from damage, if that is what you are looking for. Overall, the price with shipping was a bit high for the decal, but the design is lovely.
