Drawing Essentials: A Complete Guide to Drawing 3rd Edition

I have all four editions. I have learned something new from each one.

I received this yesterday and have read the intro. This book is exactly what I was looking for... something more comprehensive than many of the beginner drawing books on the market, something that would be used in college-level intro courses to drawing, yet also be approachable. It checks all of those boxes.The only con is that for $70, I expected the cover the the paper in the book to be FAR better than it is. The paper is so thin, I'm afraid to highlight! It's actually hard to turn the pages. While I'm positive there is more than $70 of good info in here, I think they better "go back to the drawing board" so to speak :) with the paper quality. Really, really poor in my opinion. I can't say I have another book that would even come close to this level of paper quality and I have a lot of books. This book deserves better! I knocked a star off because of the paper issue.

This is a great book! Wonderful artwork throughout. A must-have for explanations and examples of drawing basics.

This book was already damaged before it got to me.
