Best all rounder although meant as gaming headset
Amazing musicality combined with that expansive soundstage that was initially there for gaming purposes make this the best at price range headphones Iโve ever owned. Combine that with tank like construction of Beyerdynamic ( Iโve used this as my sleeping headphones to listen to music and fall asleep to for a couple of years and still no affect on build of this beast ) you canโt go wrong with this.

With EQ, perfect for casual music listening
I was looking for something for late night music listening - jazz acoustic mostly. Tried Grado SR80, SHP9500, HD560S, iBasso SR2, Hifiman HE400SE Deva Pro wired and Edition XS. Finally got these. Smooth, fast, natural, engaging, open. Liked them so much I got a 2nd pair for canjam sharing. Without EQ they sound a bit bright to me so I use a Qudelix 5k to add EQ. I just canโt get over how good these sound, even with other genres. Bargain. Since picked up DT770 Pro 80ohm for when I need a closed-back. Couldnโt be happier and my wallet is happy too.

Superb
I wasn't expecting for this, so much fun to listen to music, is not a headphone, is an experience, sorry I am not audiophile, I just love good music, this headphone is open, is so different from the close ones, so much details, so open, the music sounds so good, I have an aurvana live which has bass, but the tygr has a different kind of bass, that is different, more impactful, the aurvanas now sound muddy, lol, I never write a review, I felt the need to share this after so many days researching for a open back headphones that does not cost my kidney, I know that in some songs the mid is recessed, but I don't care because in many others the details, the bass, sound is so good, I stopped trying to find the perfect headphones, I just want to enjoy this, and hope you can enjoy too :) By the way, I also play games, mostly Apex, rhis is also very good for this, everything sounds different in the game, I have as well a cloud alpha, and a corsair, but none sounds like this, maybe is not so good as the dt990 pro for listening footsteps, but I don't care, the ark stars just sounds so good, and I am not a pro either. is so funny for me that this is called a gaming headphones, because of that I just keep asking myself if should keep my infinity research for the best for music, but I don't want anymore, because the bass sounds so good with all the other elements of the music

had these for 3 years now
They are quite light, long lasting without a microphone at all, but if your getting these then you should know and already have a standalone mic, very comfortable and works really well

Amazing comfort, amazing sound quality, fantastic choice.
Before buying these, I purchased SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Wired, which were fairly good, however, the sound quality didnโt impress me very much. I decided to return the SteelSeries and purchase these. This was the much better choice of headphones. These headphones are so comfortable, they are very balanced (even more so with some slight EQ) and I would recommend these headphones very much for gaming, movie watching & music listening. This is a fantastic โdo it allโ headphone. As your average gamer/movie watcher/ YouTube viewer, these are fantastic and well worth the money. Side note: it does take the drivers a couple of hours to โbreak inโ properly to get 100% of the headset. This should not put you off and this is a fantastic choice.

The perfect headphones, over 990, 900 pro x or veild senns
I did the mistake to sell my tygrs for an upgrade to 900 pro x. 900 pro x are more clean, tighter an accurate. But my god, they are dull in comparison with the tygrs. The soundstage is smaller and also they have a 4k dip which makes the vocals sound a little weird. BUT THE TYGRS,my god..they are perfect..just pure enjoyment. I had them for 3 months and every time i putem on ..i said wow in my mind. That good. No peaks, siblance or anything like that. In a one sentence: it s like listening to hifi expensive speakers. This is the only headphone i had that does that. The only cans that come close is grado in terms of sound quality, but without this incredible zone/stage you are in when you listen the tygrs, but grados x models are a piece of uncomfortable crap. I think beyer made them too good(aka fun, wide, amazing) and in their german search for perfection they said the.re not analitical enough and made them "gaming". All i know is that nothing can touch them under 500. Maybe 1990..but their beyer peak is awful. Best purchase you will ever make. Forget any other headphone. The next step up maybe Focal Elegia..maybe

Beware - Not Hi-Fi Headphones!
After reading tons of reviews and watching YouTube videos extolling the sound quality of this headphone, I decided to buy a pair after my 20 year old DT231 Galactic's fell to bits (headband failure but speakers fine). Whilst I realised they were gaming headphones (not a gamer myself), it was intimated that they sounded great with music and were superior to the DT990, a traditional open back hi fi headphone from Beyer. Unfortunately to my ears, they do not have the required detail and mid range clarity expected of a pair of quality headphones, especially after I purchased a pair of DT990's, which are far superior for detail, mid range clarity and musicality with just a hint of treble push. I would also point out that despite having a low impedance of 32 Ohms, they are not easy to drive with a mobile phone (I needed 100% volume on my iPhone 7 with it's dongle to acheive a decent level!) I believe a lot of the reviewers on YouTube are using expensive DAC's and amplification with a graphic equalizer to lift the dull midrange to achieve a good sound! The DT990's sound is great out of the box with no tweeking and seems to be louder, despite having the same impedance rating of 32 Ohms, which is strange as both headphones use the same driver! I believe the culprit is the acoustic fleece pad, which is standard on the TYGR 300 R, as a change to the DT990 pad seems to open up and improve the mid range and clarity of these cans. Other people have said they are like hi fi speakers on your head, I think that's pushing it a bit, but they do have a wide soundstage ideal for gaming due to the acoustic fleece but this does reduce the musicality of the headphone. If you are a gamer and require a wide soundstage, comfort and relaxing sound to enable you to play for hours, these may fit the bill. The headband and pads are comfortable and the build quality is excellent with good looks, due to the orange tint and graphics on the cans. I really wanted to like these headphones but after much consideration, I decided to return them to Amazon and enjoy my DT990's, a proper hi fi headphone!

Outstanding gaming headphones
Bought primarily for gaming (with some YouTube/film watching on the side) and they are GLORIOUS. They're my first jump into the beyerdynamic world, having previously owned multiple AudioTechnica, Sennheiser and Logitech headphones. The open soundstage is fantastic for shooters and there's plenty of detail. Furthermore they're one of the most comfortable headphones I've worn. As someone who wears glasses, clamping force is hugely important and the TYGR 300 R gets it just right. Not too tight that they cause discomfort against my glasses during long gaming sessions but not so light that they fly off my head at the slightest movement. Easily my favourite gaming headphones that I've used and they sound pretty good for watching films as well.

Does the job well
Good for music, games and movies. On the box it says that it comes with a draw string bag but I did not receive it. I contacted the seller, Pink Noise Pro, and they sent me the bag immediately.

Perfect for gaming and hearing surroundings
I've used these for two years now for all my gaming. The bass is not that strong, but I want a headset to hear footsteps, explosions and gunshots. Footsteps are clear in any direction, in-game and in my actual surroundings, I can clearly hear myself and someone in-person talking. Explosions and guns don't fatigue my ears after hours of gaming. They feel light on my head for long sessions, and padding is very comfortable. Listening to podcasts/people talking is crystal clear, and music sounds great despite being light on the bass. I can plug them into my PS5 controller, my PC's headphone jack, and laptop. The only real issue is such a short cable, but I got an extension. All in all, a perfect headset for me, they were $150 when I bought them.
