I love Matiz sardines. They are of very high quality...some of the best. Note that they are large, four to a can. Regardless, they have supreme flavor. Some reviews ding them because they taste more like tuna. Yeah, that is because they are of such high quality. I have a fishing buddy that I always gift a few cans and you would think I gave him a new rod and reel. He raves over them.

Great sardines, like really great. One of the best that I've tried.Shipped 1 dozen in shrink wrap inside a padded envelope. ... some were damaged and leaked.Amazon credited the order so no complaints on that end. Pack them better for shipment and 6 stars are in order.

I have been searching for sardines that remind me of the ones I used to eat as a child and these hit the mark. They are perfectly salted with a slightly smoky flavor. The texture of the fish is perfect. It is hard to find a sardine with the whole fish, bones and all, that is high quality without high cost but this product checks all the boxes. I highly recommend these sardines and the company that produces them they are both great.

These are simply great sardines! Three medium-large plump and tender fish per tin, with just enough salinity and a wonderful bit of smoke. Texture is spot-on: not too firm, yet not mushy.The tins are a bit difficult to open. That's the only sort of downside I can think of.I really don't have much else to say here. If you like smoked sardines, give these a try.

I have been enjoying Matiz brand Sardines in Olive Oil for years and thought it would be nice to try them Lightly Smoked in Olive oil for a slight change in taste. I didn't notice any difference between the two. That's okay, I'll keep ordering the in Olive Oil without the smoke flavor because they arrive much sooner.

I've been on a big sardine kick and trying lots of different flavors and brands. The regular Matiz sardines in olive oil are not my favorite, but they are meaty, firm and good quality overall. I decided to try these, the "lightly smoked in olive oil" ones and they were not good at all. As some other reviewers have mentioned, there is absolutely ZERO smoked taste to them and on top of that, these were mushy compared to the regular ones and did not look like they were cleaned as well. I did not feel well after eating them. If this had been my first experience with the brand, I would think Matiz was a pretty bad brand. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FLAVOR.

One of my favorite brands of sardines, and these are fantastic like the rest of their products. Highly satisfied, will be getting more cases of these!
