I was looking for a new pen which was robust and comfortable to use. I happened on the Rotring brand and decided to give the 600 a try. I am rather pleased with the product. The knurling on the grip has a nice feeling and isn't too sharp. Being an all-metal design, there is more weight to the pen than I'm used to, but I must say I prefer this over the light plastic pens I've used previously. There are only two things that mark down my score. They aren't anything major, but need to be mentioned. First, the pen doesn't come with a spare ink refil. Not a Biggie, but would be nice at this price. The second thing is the button rattles both when it's both relaxed and depressed. This doesn't affect its use, but without it would add to the feel of the pen, and be less distracting. The ink refil included performs well. I haven't experienced a blockage yet. If you are looking for a ballpoint that looks and feels good, I can definitely recommend this one. Plenty of colour options too!

1st fancy pen I've bought and just feel it writes poorer than cheap pens

I bought this largely because of the lovely deep green/olive colour. The pen looks amazing and I find it easy to write with. The pen is slim and could get a little uncomfortable if you write with a very firm grip on your pens due to the unforgiving nature of the knurled metal. Take a more relaxed hold of the pen and it’s pleasant to hold.

Great balanced feeling pen. Would give 4 1/2 stars though as there is a bit of wobble. Supposedly fixed by salvaging a different spring or getting a small rubber seal but not got that far yet. Wouldn't pay full price because of that but you'll see the pen under £20 often.

Writing instruments can be very subjective. For me, this pen is immensely comfortable. It’s light but solid in hand, it has some heft but well balanced, beautifully machined brass with a very pretty and very dark green finish. The knurling for the fingers is grippy but not intrusive or uncomfortable. A mechanical and pleasant click is included as well. In just a few hours it has become my favorite pen in my modest, work horse oriented collection that includes common go-to’s like cross, multiple fisher’s, and even the trusty bic cristal. I did some research before purchasing the pen due to the complaints that the ink refill is lacking. It performs and lays down ink, it is also very smooth writing. However, it truly is lacking. I insist on a bold point and want a lot of ink on page while writing. After all it’s a ballpoint so even being left handed, smudging isn’t an issue for me with bold ballpoints. The research yielded an excellent result for me: Pelikan 337 Giant. I purchased one of the pelikan refills (bold, blue ink) when i purchased the pen and couldn’t be happier. It is identical in outside dimensions and drops in with zero issues. The pelikan 337 giant (bold) isn’t quite as bold as i would ideally prefer but i honestly don’t care. It’s a good unit, regardless. Don’t go with some Fisher-adapter-jerry-rigged nonsense. Shell out the ten bucks for the pelikan and be happy. It turns a great pen with a mediocre refill into an amazing complete package. 10/10

The combination of weight, balance and functional design makes for an excellent writing experience. Quality and heft feels great. Lovely to hold and write with, very comfortable! The ink is generally very good but doesn't always flow perfectly. Makes me curious to try some even higher quality ink. Used it today for taking notes during a few hours and my hand wasn't nearly as tired as with other pens!

Der Kugelschreiber wirkt sehr hochwertig und liegt dank des Metallgehäuses gut in der Hand. Das Schreibgefühl ist gleichmäßig und angenehm, die Tinte fließt sauber ohne Aussetzer oder Kratzen. Besonders praktisch ist, dass der Stift nicht wegrollt, was im Alltag und auf dem Schreibtisch sehr angenehm ist. Auch optisch macht der grüne Schaft einen edlen und professionellen Eindruck. Insgesamt ein sehr zuverlässiger und schöner Stift, der im Büro und Alltag richtig Spaß macht.
