Allows you to measure toe-in/out with no assistance
Very simple to set up and measure toe-in/out without an extra set of hands and while the wheels and tires are on. Comes with two identical tape measures adequate for the job. A little more expensive than the competition, but high quality, and the magnets hold the tape measures in place well.

work great
Did a couple of alignments with them. Vehicles drive straighter than an alignment service and tires are holding up after quite a number of miles. The tape measures worked fine, but hey sag as measurements are being made. It is very likely they sag to the same catenary curve as long is tension is equivalent so the measurements work. I would always use identical tape measures on both sides due to this phenomenon of physics.I will note, alignments are tricky. Aligning both toes to the caster, steering wheel, camber adjustment for drift and ensuring adequate threads on each tie rod end are all involved. Not to mention tackling the front to rear alignment. These plates will set only toe, but with that, a string, a micrometer, and a level, the rest can be gotten. It can all be done with quite high accuracy, I have been doing my own alignments for years my vehicles drive straighter than ever, and after thousands of miles I am still on the same tires. That being said, getting an alignment completed properly can take quite a bit of time and understanding. Setting toe is the biggest aspect and these plates do that actually pretty good.

Handy to use and keep the box to store.
Have used multiple after some suspension changes and this is invaluable!

Works great should have purchased long ago.
Should have purchased these a long time ago, they work great. I recently replaced ball joints and control arms on my car and it pulled after the replacement. I with my busy schedule I did not get it to the shop for about a month for the alignment and had a bit of tire wear. I drop the car in the morning to the shop and got a call around noon from the shop and they told me they could not align the car because the lower left ball joint was bad. I was steamed about this thinking the new part had failed or more than likely the shop was trying to rip me off. I told them not to touch the car and picked it up and drove home. When I got home I jacked the car to check the ball joints again and they were fine. At this point, I started looking into DIY alignment tools and methods and found these. They were cheap enough I figured why not give them try. While I just finished up setting the toe on my car and being a modern car it only has toe adjustments, so that is all you get when you pay for an alignment. Needless to say I will be using these from now on. With a little though and a few iterations, you can get the toe dialed right in and get the wheel centered. My car was pulling pretty hard and the wheel was not centered going down the road and now it go straight down the road with the wheel straight and no hands on it.

Must have for tie rod jobs. Pays for itself the first use.
Longacre Racing 79501Pros:- Ability to check your own toe at home any time on your own time and pace.Cons:- Might have to use something heavy to prop the plates up so they don't move.- Would be good if there was some sort of center mark on the plate. I've just been eyeballing center; but has potential to give inaccurate readings.- Because the tape measures are printed the same orientation, reading the number on the front tape slot vs. the rear tape slot might be tricky. As you will be looking at the slot from different angles, and the slot might be blocking the numbers you are trying to read.Other:- I don't really use the magnetic parts of the slots; I feel like it could cause inconsistent reads. I just use the plain slot.- Consider using care when carrying/moving the plates so you don't drop or hit them on anything and warp the flatness.- Mainly effective for adjusting front end. (Can check rear, but can't adjust to align with the body).I bought these plates along with the parts for changing inner tie rods. Way better than having to take it to an alignment shop after.I take many measurements just so I get a good average read. I will do things like reset the tapes, switch them around, and switch the toe plates from one side to another. I prop up the far side plate with 2 jugs of antifreeze. The toe will be as accurate as the time and effort you yourself put into it. But the DIY nature of this, you can check it as many times and whenever you want. After my repair job, I check it again several days later to see if it still reads the same. This is a great tool to have; almost a necessity if you are doing any tie rod work, so you don't have to spend your time and money taking it in.(Tip:)For inner tie rod job - when eyeballing the installed outer tie rod, err on the side that will cause you to adjust the adjusting rod in a tightening fashion (I think toe out). If you have to adjust by 'loosening' the rod, there might be a small chance of loosening the inner tie rod you just installed (especially if you didn't stake the lock washer down snug, which you might be inclined to do because it's a pita to unstake). It probably doesn't matter, but it seems like more piece of mind.

Peace of mind
Top notch. Used it to verify specs on a Model 3. Tapes that come with it show are accurate to each other as well.

Exactly what I needed
These are simple and exactly what I needed. Do yourself a favor, ditch the included measuring tapes and Amazon yourself a laser measuring tape for faster and more accurate readings. I’ve been using this one for three years, and it’s amazing how accurate and user friendly it is! https://www.amazon.com/Laser-Measure-Distance-Bubble-Levels/dp/B0BRN9VT58/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=1MCD0RECH954G&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.SDWMDvBZu8IM4UBwh_x2zJNDrXtDZHPPQLMUmbJ7u0_A9FMplIwQt99JZAdX1b3Js3HzBqDolsmG7DUqJDRHCfbT_sxNwYu80cfv7FXI0F6Mz9_GGOMtY3vomXDTuuk0KXMiM6jZ5Q6dky2ftm1a74Sn4CZrUnkZGdVqrxfMKREMt3Z9V9iTd8VYzTDWQtfYnEaBEuLY0_E5QFJmNwm2Ag.ZYKXR8V682VCYnC-Q_slgWcobag1R1ajTo6w_ntJJRY&dib_tag=se&keywords=tacklife+hd60&qid=1712923438&sprefix=tacklife+hd60%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-2

Good buy.
If you are careful they work well, I had my toe check later and it was fine.
