The box came in tact. However, after opening, there were at least half a dozen pieces cracked, dented, or outright broken and unusable. Of course, by the time you haven everything out, its impossible to put it all back in the box for return. I had to glue 3 pieces back together in order to build the thing. A power drill in unnecessary, and in fact would probably have destroyed what was left. A ratcheting screwdriver was fine. I had to add silicone to the top as the top piece shattered, and the roof leaked. The instructions are on one page, and are "mostly" reliable - though you may have to rebuild a section or two. This was okay for 1 or 2 chickens, but no more. If you've ever taken your kid to a "home Depot" children's workshop, putting this together was one step above that (a good thing for kids) - once your got the directions down. I will not be buying anything else from Hayneedle. I will add my photos as I can. At least you could use these pieces as a template for something of better quality...

Summer time it was good but in the winter It is not very sturdy....so I have built around it to reinforce. Added shingles on the roof and covered the sides and one more nest box on the side.

Received this item quickly (Hayneedle). We also quickly found numerous splits & gaps in the (cedar) wood. After my husband optimistically stapled the first few splits together, we finally quit building the thing when we realized the roof had a huge, irreparable split. It was ridiculous to sell us this garbage and waste our time. Very disappointing.
