Q: Does this item come with the black cast iron grill plate labelled 4 in the photos?

It comes with 4 items. The black external body, a wooden base, an aluminium internal tray for the charcoal and a chrome grill to cook on.

Q: Can you boil a kettle on this? Will it take the weight? Thx

Hi, I don't think it is stable enough or big enough to put a kettle on top. It's good for kebabs etc

Q: Can you use this without the silver tray and put the coal in the only the black compartment or no?

I don't really understand why you would want to use it without the grill. It would just be charcoal and you'd need to make sure the food wasn't touching the coal. Its very small but ideal for a 2 person bbq of little skewers for example. It looks great, BTW!

Q: Is this made of cast iron? Is it solid and weighty or light?

It is not cast iron. Both the external black case (double layer) and internal silver tray are made with aluminum. It is not that heavy.
