How do you remove the two splints on the top of the hand?

The metal splints are in "pockets". The one that supports the thumb slides out from the top. It helps if you push the splint from the bottom so you can pull it out from the top. The larger splint is removable from the base or bottom. It has a velcroed flap at the bottom that you will need to open in order to slide the splint down & out.
