The How to Draw Book for Kids: A Simple Step-by-Step Guide to Drawing Cute and Silly Things

My daughter is obsessed with drawing and loves following YouTube videos for inspiration and lessons. This was a great non-screen option. She loves following the steps which are clear and easy. Then she can still add more of her own details to them. She has created such cute fairies, penguins, polar bears, and narwhals. It’s great for sparking their creativity for hours of screenless fun. The book is broken down into five categories: cute creatures, fairytale fun, under the sea, outer space and tasty treats. Such a great variety of things to color. I’m super happy with this book and would buy this brand again especially for the price.

Such a great purchase, we’ve been really happy with it. Bought it for our 5 year old daughter who started to show a little interest in drawing. She has really thrived trying out many of the tutorial drawings. There are a variety of styles/difficulties as well so she has been able to start with easier ones and work her way up. The step by step style is simple to understand and walks you through it nicely. We help on some by showing the process, but lately she’s been tackling them all on her own. The drawings often have little cute faces that our kid lives to emulate and draw. It’s also great how it allows for a wide variety of interests and skill levels. At an earlier age you can even start by using it to trace and get a feel for lines and shapes. If you’re looking for a drawing tutorial type book, I’d definitely recommend this one.

I was happy with this book. I am not sure my grandchild is old enough to copy these drawings, but she can enjoy tracing the step by step drawings and still play with filling in the shapes herself.

I got this for my 5 year old daughter who likes art and drawing and she LOVES this book. So many options to practice and she is slowly learning to do it on her own!

I received an advance reader copy of this book, and I have to say that it is definitely on my list of gifts for other kids we know! My 4.5 year-old has really loved it. Even just looking at every page is fun! She's actually drawn from it, and used it for tracing as well. So many fun and cute illustrations to make using this book! Kids can use it as a guide and make their drawings their own. It's easy to follow and use and so cute you don't mind having it lying around when not in use. :) And like others have noted, the quality is great and isn't going to fall apart after hours of use. The paper weight is also great for if your kids decided to draw in it.

If u have kids under ten I would say this would be a good starter book to draw with. It has easy steps. Easy to use. Easy to learn. Cute little drawing

My children are always asking my to draw for them on our whiteboard - which I really am not the best at doing. I bought this book to help my son but infact it has helped me too. Huge variety of pictures to draw and they are all separated into categories. The drawings are so simple to follow my 5 year old has been doing so and my 3 year old has been attempting. Really great for kids to use their imagination and be creative, also great for parents/caters that can’t draw! Would definitely recommend
