One of the very best items in my computer tool kit
Manhattan ProductsPT # : PS-T10Model # : 101530***It must be the Dutch in me, but not many items receive a 5 star rating. Quality, cost versus expectations , over thinking resulting in disappointment, cost.. *smirk* All play into my reviews which generally always come after purchasing an item based on countless hours of research (yippy! Gooooo insomnia!), ensuring my hard earned dollars are being spent.Even though this arrived in a basic cardboard box and wrapped in bubble wrap, the original packaging of clear molded plastic with a hard cardboard backing did no justice to this PSU tester. Until I removed it and held it in my hands.Construction was above my expectations, which doesn't happen very often. Manhattan Product pictures and listing was exactly as advertised.Display is bright and clear with all the valid measurements posted. This was ordered for a mobile computer tool kit I was assembling all to fit in a small satchel styled bag.I had been pinning out connections on Mobo's (Motherboards) and PSU's (Power Supply Units) for so many years with my DMM (Digital Multi-Meter) that this almost made me feel like I was suddenly cheating, it was too easy and "fool proof"...I constantly compared the readings from this Manhattan Digital Power Supply Tester against a Wavetek 23XT that simply is bullet proof and refuses to die after countless trips around the world while I was a Field Engineer in the medical automation industry (originally bought for doing kiln, oven & furnace work) as well as my 400$ Fluke 27 Multimeter. This Manhattan tester is very accurate, speeding up diagnosis of faults in the electrical system of a PC allowing me to quickly confirm with one of my DMMs its results. After 4 years of regular use and hundreds of PSU's attached, I've stopped double checking what it reports because its been a waste of time. For the meager price of 30 USD, this is a quality product that does the job it's intended to do.It's appealing aluminum housing is well anodized with a uniformed black finish and very light weight and sized smaller than many of today's smart phones. The unit easily accepts 20 &/or 24-pin ATX, 4, 6 and 8-pin CPU, 4-pin FDD, 4-pin Molex (HDD) and SATA power connectors.Along with the voltage present LED's, the audible alarms when faults are detected seriously make this process a breeze for anyone of virtually any experience level.I highly recommend this product if you even so little as dabble in computer modding, repairs or remotely consider pulling the side off your rig. Period. Most people have no idea the "wonky" issues a faulty or otherwise out of spec PSU (slightly low or slightly high) will cause, from premature failures of the mobo/cpu, damaged graphic cards, corrupt memory issues to random shutdowns/reboots. This is so quick, easy and reliable that using this tester is THE place to start, even before investing the time in software diagnosis or specific device troubleshooting in many cases.Absolutely love it!

Awesome piece of equipment
OK, got this thing and tried it out. The P1 connector was VERY tight fit. I thought it was not going to work. After a bit more pressure the main power plug did go it. A couple of more times and it was much easier. I presume the fit tolerance was just a touch close. But, after plugged in, it worked great. I was concerned that with the plug being so tight that it might separate the socket from the body but has not happened.I think an even better addition to it would be a watt or amp measuring function on it so you could measure the full current draw of the machine and get an idea of how close the power supply was meeting the demands. Wishful thinking.Great item!!

It does just what it says
I bought this for my office. I take care of a network that includes about 75 PCs and this little device has been a worthy addition to our troubleshooting arsenal. It takes a relatively small effort to figure out in spite of the sometimes cryptic written instructions. The thing that it does is allow you to quickly rule out or nail down the power supply as the source of oddball problems. We've all manner of problems that logical troubleshooting said were caused by a defective motherboard or ram or a bad hard drive that turned out to have their roots in a bad power supply. This has become an indispensable aid to keep us from time-wasting trial and error troubleshooting. It would be harder to justify if I were only looking after couple of computers, but as it stands, I highly recommend it.

Works but comes with no documentation
I recieved the Manhattan Power Supply Tester today. I believe it works ok but it doesn't come with any documentation. I went online and downloaded the PDF and it's only 2 pages (1st page is the logo, 2nd page are instructions on how to connect). There are no documentation on the display so you don't know what to look for if the power supply is defective. I expected more value for the price and I'm left feeling like I didn't get what I paid for.

Poor quality, damaged unit
The one I bought had a damaged LCD display that made it hard to read some of the parameters. I returned it for a refund. I no longer need it because replacing the power supply fixed my problem.

Generic product with a Manhattan sticker on it
There is no difference in this product that the $10 generic ones you see. All Manhattan does it put their sticker on it and somehow magically this makes it a genuine Manhattan product? Manhattan did not design nor manufacture this power supply tester. The only thing they do different than everybody else is put their sticker on it and double the price. Go get a generic one. There's no difference and you'll save yourself a ton of money.

Well made product that works!
I'm opening up an IT business -- Sochi, Russia -- all repairs I start with a free hardware diagnostics that includes power supply test. This is why I bought this unit. Other reviews showed that this unit works precise, that's why I bought it. There is a saying you get what you pay for, and the unit is well made, aluminum casing, everything is nice, good quality. The only drawback is floppy connector is a 4 pin male that sticks out, this means I can't just throw it into a bag or my pocket, pins will bend. What's needed is some sort of box or a case for carrying this around. Manufacturer could improve this product by including end caps or a fitted plastic box for this thing.Nobody has or uses PSU tester around here, I'm so excited!!!

Works good, however after a while of having it in ...
Works good, however after a while of having it in the tool bag all of the writing on it disappeared so then I have to look up pictures to know which plugs go where. I wish the writing was etched better into the case.
