Perfect for kids and tweens
These were recommended by the tennis instructor last summer and they were just perfectly with kids and teens rackets. We’ve been very happy with them.

An expensive, but excellent ball to coach with
Gamma tends to make great tennis products, these are no exception. I find them slightly higher quality than other green ball manufacturers, and they come in this cool rectangular bucket. I carry them onto the court with me when I teach a green ball class, whenever my teaching basket is out I grab the bucket and reload. I also like the extremely bright green color. It's as if Gamma purposefully made their Green balls extra "Green". They are great and I will buy them again.

Durable practice balls for a good price
I almost didn't order these balls because of some less than stellar reviews on their bounce quality. They are fine for practice.I coach tennis as my job, and also coach my own kids and their friends at the local park. At work I use the balls the tennis club purchases. At the park, I use balls I purchase myself. I went ahead and ordered these because we needed to work with the green ball this season.True - there are a couple odd balls in the bunch! We hit a couple that bounced funny and you could feel an uneven thickness in the rubber lines on the balls. Still - we kept those odd balls in and just looked at them as surprise reaction opportunities during our practice drills. Of course, I wouldn't suggest running an official tennis tournament with these balls. But for practice all summer and fall at the park, they have been just fine. They are more durable than lively. Since I live in New England, the balls will sit unused in the basement all winter. I can presume by the feel of the balls that we will likely get a little more use out of them next Spring. They hardly show any wear from playing all season on hard courts outdoors. On the flip side, they are not as bouncy and lively as the Penn green dot balls we have inside the tennis club. Those balls however, lose their liveliness soon enough. It's all give and take.Another thing I like about these balls is the green dot is inconspicuous. Our old green balls were bi-colored and the extra green resulted in a visual distraction on a spinning ball. These balls look like regular yellow balls during play. The green dot makes them identifiable for sorting purposes.I also own a bucket of Gamma yellow balls for practice. Those have a similar durability without liveliness issue. Overall I would say the issue is less noticeable during play with these green balls than with the yellow balls. In other words, when you go to play your tournament, are you going to feel like you are on the moon playing with the wrong ball? The answer for the Gamma yellow balls may be yes. But the answer for these green balls is no. It is a close-enough feeling of play that the kids can practice with these and perform well in competition with competition balls (which have more feel and are livelier). If we were millionaires, we'd crack a new can of green balls for every practice. For what we want to pay, these balls suit our needs just fine.

Great tennis balls for my 9 yo son to develop his game with!
These are great to play with for my 9 yo son, who can't quite deal with the speed of normal pressure tennis balls. The slightly slower speed these balls have allow my son to hit shots with confidence, practicing what he's learned from tennis lessons. It also lets this aging dad (and his mom!) be able to keep up and have good rallies together. This allows my son to take risks and start developing some of the skills to adjust and adapt to different aspects of the game (ie. drop shots, net play, lob shots, etc). Get the 50 ball bucket as these will quickly develop into fuzzy tennis balls on hard surface courts.

Great for fetch
We use tennis balls to play fetch with our dogs, and these turned out to be a great buy. Since they aren't filled to the same pressure as regulation balls, they are softer and easier for the dogs to catch (both are senior citizens). They don't bounce as high and aren't as hard on their mouths when they catch them. Nor do they pop when chewed on a bit aggressively. The colorful design make them easy to spot, and they fit perfectly into the Chuck-It ball launcher. Constructed well and don't experience the same fuzz shedding issues as some of the cheaper, in-store brands do. We will definitely repurchase.

Great tennis balls for kids or new players
I bought these for teaching my 4 young kids to play tennis (ages 4-7 years old.) They are heavier and larger than standard tennis balls. The Gamma balls don't bounce as far and are slower than standard balls, which makes them great for giving kids more time to make contact & work on correct form. My kids have been taking tennis lessons at the YMCA in the winter months, and the YMCA uses the same balls for kids lessons. I'll be buying more when spring arrives!

OK for dogs but a little firm, color can make balls hard to find; better to get STAGE 2s for your ball-loving hound
The stage 1s are too large for the standard Chuckit!s and the stage 3s are a little firmer and seem to all be half green making it often hard to find. The STAGE 2 ball is the best I have found for my dog family. They all love the softness of the #2 and my lab who can carry two in his mouth much prefers two stage 2s to normal tennis balls. Also they, and the stage 3s, toss perfectly from a Chuckit! Pro 25M, the best of the ball launchers (Canine Hardware 245201 Chuckit Launcher The stage 2s have an excellent two-tone color making them easy to find although the yellow/orange seem to the easiest to find). And since so few people use them, it's easy to track down your stolen ball in another dog's mouth (I've only found one other person tossing a stage 2 ball for his dog in 12 years of going to the dog parks).I actually prefer the deeper color of the yellow/orange QuickStart 60 balls - and they come in a handy bucket.
