Full disclosure: I'm not a Wiccan, nor any other sort of pagan. I am, however, a Christian with a fondness for oft-forgotten holidays, especially the Quarter and Cross-Quarter Days that of late have collectively come to be known as "The Wheel of the Year." The craftsmanship of this particular wheel is excellent, with plenty of beautiful symbolism for each holiday. Imbolc, for example (or, as others might call it, Candlemas) has lovely winter imagery, a candle, at a St. Brigid's Cross. The overall size is perfect for display, and the multiple sturdy hooks allow for easy rotation throughout the year. Plus the alchemical symbols for the seasons in the center ring are a nice touch. We've hung ours in the kitchen, where it is often admired and commented upon. At first the color did look a little purplish, but against a yellow wall it looks very much like wood even upon fairly close inspection. We're quite happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

Given as a gift to people who returned it calling it too crude and poorly made.

This is such a beautiful wheel, I love all of the details! The design of each season really seems to capture the essence of that which it respectively represents. As another reviewer noted: the wheel that arrived on my door step was in fact more like Terra cotta, in both color and finish (Orange-ish and relatively matte). Because of this, the details did not show as much, and I knew that I would have to customize it to suite my particular aesthetic tastes. I used ebony colored wood stain on mine (brushed on thickly with chip brush, and then wiped stain away with a rag, leaving all of the nooks and crannies dark, while leaving highlights on the more raised areas). This process made it look more dramatic and more like wood. I probably should have used a less glossy urethane as a top coat, but c’est la vie....since I hung mine outside on my back patio, I’m hoping the elements will do their thing and naturally weather it down throughout the year. I actually like that the item arrived in a way that I could customize it and make it my own, rather than be pre “weathered.” The only suggestion that I would make to the manufacturer (which others have also mentioned in their reviews) is that there be another size option...larger! This 11-inch wheel could easily be 16+ inches and I would gladly pay extra for it. All in all, a beautiful piece and a wonderful addition to compliment my seasonal ritual practices.

I just fell in love with this plaque. The detail is amazing. My only complaint is that the stain over the resin doesn't really look like wood. It actually has a purple tint to it - not true brown at all. I would love to see the artist do a full color version because that, combined with the detail, would be beautiful. The best part of this plaque, though - and something I couldn't find anywhere else - were the 8 hooks so you can move the wheel with the year. Overall, this plaque is made extremely well, the hooks on the back are strong and well-made and it's very pretty. I'm very happy!

I have this beautiful plaque hanging on the wall above my altar and I just LOVE it! A perfect addition to my ritual space. The 8 hangers on the back side are truly a plus. As it allows me to change the position of the plaque with the change of the seasons/sabats. I was kind of leery about ordering it, after reading some reviews where some people said that the color had a purple cast to it. But mine came just as pictured in the ad. I would recommend this to any one looking to add that extra special touch to their altar or just their home in general.

Love the detail, but quality of plastic poor/tacky. Not the usual heavier resin. I returned it and paid more for another version...

The art and molding is beautiful. Unfortunately, the material resembles red plastic instead of wood. I painted it to resemble grey stone as a result.

Absolutely beautiful piece! I absolutely love that it comes with hooks on the back for each sabbat so that you can change it as the year goes on. It is incredibly well crafted and the images are perfectly representative and accurate for each sabbat. It is a necessary addition to any pagan household!
