Q: Can it be used indoors?

Yes. You will need to have a permanent air supply to the room or piped to the stove, have CO monitor and have it and a flue installed by a HETAS registered installer. HETAS installers are in high demand at the moment. I have just had a flue and a different log burner installed in a new build extension for my son and the flue and stove installation alone was £2500, the stove cost another £1200. My Defra is basic but has worked well for over a year.

Q: Has it got defra plate

There is a CE marked metal plate on the back that has the words Defra Approved Wood Burning Stove so I believe it complies.

Q: How do you regulate the heat as i cannot see any vents?

It has primary, secondary and tertiary air. The sliders at the front would, I imagine, control two of them.
