Im going on year 3 now. I wear these 5 days a week in an art foundry. I fabricate and weld and beat the crap out of them. After 2 years some of the heel stitching broke free from abuse, but I glued it and its good to go. Dont waste your money on expensive boots you will abuse. Buy these.

During my 8 months of welding these really did wonders. The only problem these had were the laces got toasted when MIG spatter dropped on them, but they still worked nonetheless. Still usable, just need re-lacing. Definitely recommend these boots if your needing some steel toed boots for welding. They are heavy though, my buddies were making fun of my stopping around because they have some weight. Not a bad thing though, it's not hard to walk around it's just hard to not be noisy. Probably just a me thing though.

plenty of room and like they said limited to no breakin. Agree with other reviews and wonder why the lace wraps aren't all the way up. what is the purpose of 2 lace holes at the top of boot? they would probably be a 5 star otherwise. they may be 5 star anyway and if I think so I'll update this review later. Been wearing steel toes for a long time and I don;t remember much difference in weight. Leather boots are heavy. So if you want light get glued soles, no toe protection and non leather. P.S. these boots look good too.

Just received them, I will wear them tomorrow . I ordered the larger size to relieve the pressure on my toes that causes irritation. I take good care of my feet because I rely on them every day to keep me safe and warm in all that I do. I am a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/welder so foot safety is paramount in my line of work.

Only worn a week, but so far very impressed by the quality and comfort - especially at this price point. No break in period, were comfortable right away (even after a 10 hour shift). May update review after a few months.

Steel toe, size 8....The "finish" of the boot is oiled, so scuffed appearance is to be expected. The welt is plastic of course, expected at this price point. Fit, generous, or relaxed. I am an 8 medium. Some sleek lasts compress the wide part of my foot, so I size up a half, or simply reject them. These have enough room, so much so I will be wearing my thickest socks. Some of you may need to drop a half size.I have not worn them yet, they will not given the all day every day (you folks really should get two pair, alternate to let the leather dry out and relax), as I only have them for activity where I may injure my foot, moveing heavy stuff around garage, yard work, move furniture etc.As I have more experience with them I will update the stars, but you serious users should look to those reviewers who will really put them through their paces.

I put 10+ hours on them 5 days a week, great quality. Been covered in all kinds of liquids. No issues with cleaning or smell.
