The ‘My Wig’s Not Going Anywhere’ Glue
Ultra Hold and I have been tight for 6 years. It’s my secret sauce for when my lace wig needs to stick through thick and thin - like vacations, dance-offs, and even surprise wig-snatching attempts by my boyfriend (spoiler: it stays put, sorry!).Just a smidge is enough - lay it on too thick, and you’re entering a sticky situation. I pair it with tapes for that ‘Fort Knox’ level of security. And for removal? Walker adhesive solvent is the real MVP, peeling off the wig without a wrestling match. Its travel size is perfect for those ‘just in case’ moments. Dries clear, keeps my wig locked down, and gives me that ‘bring it on’ confidence. Ultra Hold glue – because my wig deserves its own bodyguard! 🤣Make sure you seal it after every use so it last. Also it can be messy I use a wooden stick to lay on and avoid mess have solvent or alcohol near by to remove any tackiness if you get on hands or items.

Great clear glue
Love this glue. Holds lace really well and doesn’t turn white. 1-2 layers is plenty. I found that more than 3 layers actually makes it so thick that it loses its “sticky-ness” quicker. I sweat A LOT, I don’t wrap my lace overnight or while showering (I’m super careful to not get water on it). This will last me a good 5-7 days, without touch ups. If I was super careful and wrapped it all the time, just because I sweat so much, it wouldn’t matter. Other glues only last 3-4 days max. I honestly don’t mind re-gluing my wig every week. It’s a little bit of a chore to get the glue off the lace. DO NOT use the bold hold lace remover, it ruins lace. It doesn’t wash off, EVER. I get the yellow bottle with a crown on it, on Amazon, for about $6.99-$8.99. It’s really good. Just an oil. Then I use an old towel and I will sit there for about an hour (yes an hour) scraping the glue off. But my lace is pristine, intact, and can be glued again after it dries (obviously you have to wash the oil off).

A bit messy but great hold
Works well for lace wigs, a bit messy and sticky, as expected. Also, a little difficult to remove with alcohol but I am new to this so it could be me.

Strong but tacky
I have to say I think this is one of the best wig glue that is out there on the market. Super Duper strong it definitely will hold a wig or hair piece in place. The only downfall is is that it is very tacky when you’re using it so be forewarned.

It holds but use a little
really rubbery and difficult to remove with the same brand remover. hurst your eyes with the vapor from the remover. Really hard to clean off the lace front. It hold fast thoughjust use a little and Do NOT let it get on the hair of your wig. its like rubber cement so make sure a thin string of cement doesnt get on your fingers or the hair of your wig. I am going back to Spirit gum.

Lives up to its name!
Please, please, please, do not use this product without some sort of scalp protectant for your skin and a solvent to safely remove it! This stuff lives up to its name, believe me. It's like super glue. You should lay down some napkins or cloth to protect your counter surface as well in case you spill some. I did a patch test on the back of my hand to make sure it would not irritate my sensitive skin. A brush is provided with the product, but I would prefer one with a finer width of bristles. Along with this product I purchased the Walker Skin Protectant, a roll of supertape and the C-22 Citrus Solvent. It all arrived together, which was great because I wanted to practice before my lace front wig arrived. First, I cleaned the back of my hand with alcohol until the cotton ball was free of debris. I then spread 2 thin layers of protectant, letting the first layer dry before adding the second. When the protectant no longer felt tacky, I applied a thin layer of Ultra Hold. It goes on clear and dries clear. As an experiement, I added a layer of supertape to test the difference in the hold with and without the tape. I needed the solvent to remove the tape and glue. I believe the citrus base helps to remove the glues and soothe your skin. I can only imagine what it will be like to remove the glue and tape while under an attached lace front wig. If you are new to this, as I am, I would suggest you either go to your beautician for assistance or watch some of the instructional videos on YouTube. Type in "how to apply a lace front wig" and all sorts of results pop up. Videos in which the beauty expert applies the products on the model are helpful, but I prefer the ones where the model applies her own products as I will have to do. Overall, I highly recommend this product and the others I mentioned. Again, please do not use this on unprotected skin.
