Great oils for knife enthusiasts.
Summary: - Very good performance out of these oils. Use 10 weight for bearings/washers, and 85 weight for detents, slipjoints, and lockbacks. Haven't used the 5 CLP myself yet. - Great applicator and bottle. Well-sealed. Drops precise amounts so you never overlubricate or spill. Comfortable usage. - Very low odor. - Price is a bit higher than the KPL line. No discernible difference between Nano Oil and KPL to my eye. KPL does have a stronger (though pleasant) scent and a worse applicator. - I use both: KPL on washer based knives and Nano Oil on bearing systems. I purchased this set of oils for use on pocket knives. I am very satisfied with them, both in the performance of the oils and the applicators in which they are packaged. I've found that the performance I get is stronger with the 10 weight oil, particularly on knives that have a bearing based action. I've also used the 85 weight oil on detent ball paths as well as on knives with a traditional slipjoint action or a backlock. This last use has been particularly helpful. For example, the Benchmade Proper is a slipjoint knife which has fairly unsatisfying action ("walk and talk") for a slipjoint. I took it apart and used 10 weight for the washers and 85 weight on along the bottom tang of the blade where it makes contact with the backspring, and found that the knife became a lot more satisfying to use. The same goes for certain backlock knives, such as the Spyderco Dragonfly or Chapparal. You may think you don't like backlocks, that they're sticky, or that they're no fun to fidget with--not the case at all. Try the 85 weight oil. It makes the action very smooth and enjoyable, and the backlock becomes a lot less frustrating to use. I have not had occasion to use the 5 CLP oil yet. The main competition for these oils is Knife Pivot Lube line, which consists of a normal knife oil (KPL, comparable to 10 weight Nano Oil) and a high-viscosity oil known as KPL Heavy (comparable to 85 weight Nano Oil) I have used both the KPL line and the Nano Oil line for quite a while, and I'll admit that it's hard for me to tell the difference in performance between them, though both are clearly far superior to running my knives dry or relying on something like Hoppe's No. 9 oil or 3in1. I will say that Nano Oil has less of a scent, though many people (including myself) find the KPL scent quite nice. On the advice of Nick Shabazz I have drifted towards using KPL more on washer based knives and Nano Oil on bearing knives, but haven't conducted any extensive testing yet to see if I can determine which is better. If budget is the overriding priority, you will probably be happiest just buying KPL, as the performance is perfectly acceptable and a single bottle can be had for a lower price (though keep in mind that currently KPL Heavy can only be bought in a bundle with KPL, so if you want to buy Heavy down the line you will need to buy another bottle of KPL as well). However, Nano Oil has a far superior bottle and applicator. These pen-like applicators are absolutely perfect. The combination of a cap and needle cover is perfect for preventing leaks, even though I let mine get bumped around in a drawer. Applying the oil to the knives is incredibly easy; you never drop more than you want to, nor do you have to pinch uncomfortably (which can get frustrated when you're holding items in a delicate position). This is a great selling point for Nano Oil over KPL, in my opinion. Note that at present, when you buy Nano Oil on Amazon, you are not going through a third party dealer--you're buying directly from Nanolube. This is a definite plus in my book. They ship fast (in my case, faster than the estimates) and seem to be responsive to customer concerns. The oils were packaged very well, both to prevent leaking from the bottles and to prevent leaking out of the packages if the bottles were to break, though they were secured well that I doubt even a very vicious worker could break the bottles. Nonetheless, I appreciate the extra care, as someone who has had some bad experiences having lubricants shipped.

Excellent Oil for Lubricating and Protecting My Knives
I’ve been using Tuf Glide for the past ten years for just about everything but specifically to protect and lubricate my folding knives. I’ve never really had a problem with Tuf Glide but I’ve heard a lot of people who really like Nano Oil so I decided to try it. I like that this bottle is in a pen style with a plastic cap for the needle portion which makes it easy to carry and transport without worrying that the needle will bend or leak. I also really like that the bottle is clear so I have an idea of how much oil I have left and how much I may need to tilt it. The oil is easy to use with the needle tip dispenser as you can get it right into the pivot area or any tight area that you need to lubricate. It seems to do a great job so far of lubricating and coating my knives for protection. What I didn’t realize I would like with the Nano Oil so much over the Tuf Glide is the nearly odorless nature of the Nano Oil. The Tuf Glide has a pretty strong smell and it can make my knives smell a bit too strong for a couple of days. It’s not a huge deal but odorless is preferred here. So far I like it but I’ll have to give it some time to see if it holds up for my final verdict. Considering all the positive things I’ve heard, I expect this to hold up well and while the price is a bit high I feel comfortable recommending it.

Buy with confidence!
Excellent product and even better seller! There was an issue with USPS having “insufficient address” and being unable to deliver the original item. This was quickly addressed and a replacement resent the next business day only for the original item to later arrive. When I contacted the seller to ask if they wanted me to return the replacement they let me keep it. I look forward to doing business with them again!

Exceptional Lubricant
Excellent oil for lubricating high-use mechanical devices (I use it to lubricate pocket knives and it works amazingly well). The applicator tip allows for very precise application of the oil both in terms of location and quantity. My only complaint is that the unit I received is very sticky (as in the plastic tube itself is sticky, as if there's some sort of glue or adhesive left on the surface). I have washed it thoroughly with IPA and acetone and it's still sticky. Perplexing, but the performance of the oil does not seem to be degraded.

This stuff works!
I am amazed by the difference this makes in the opening of my many knives. It has immediate effect on even those I felt were already working at their best. The next day, the difference is even more noticable. Yes, this seems rather outrageously priced for 8cc of the oil, but it takes only the tiniest drop on each side of the blade's washers or bearings to tune a knife from pure it won't open all the way with the thumb stud, thumb hole, or flipper, to, it glides like butter. (Don't let you knives get to that point, my experience here comes from used knives purchased, or fixing friends' errors and neglect). With my first tube, I refreshed and maintained more than 200 knives, revived and fixed a dozen fly reels, plus used around the house and cars on various things where I thought it would help. In every instance, it has. My second tube is on the way, and looking back I bought the first at the end of 2018, well worth the $17 then, and $19ish now. So, despite the immediately shocking price, it's a fantastic value.

I use it for everything
I use this oil for knives alongside with Nano Grease. However, 10 weight Nano Oil has proven to be so extremely useful around the house for ANYTHING than needs oiling. Fishing reels, flashlight threads, guns, door hinges. I've even used the 85 weight as cutting oil for my drill. The things that sold my are how the oil consists of millions of Nano Bearings than are about 9 nano meters in size and completely bond to your material and do actually reduce friction. It is also food safe so it's great for coating knife blades to protect them from corrosion without worrying about digesting something that is bad for you. This oil can be classified as a CLP, clean, lubricate, and protect. Especially with 5 weight because it penetrates so fast. I've wiped parts clean that had the oil applied to them, it lubricates effectively, and does protect the surface. I cannot say enough great things about it. If you do decide to use this on your knives, I would consider trying Nano Grease. I take my knives apart and do a small dab of grease on one side of the washer, and a little bit of 10 weight on the rest. This combination of grease and oil makes my knives retarded smooth. Try it out!

Nano-Oil Trio - All 3 Grades Kit: 5 CLP + 10 + 85 Weight
Fantastic needle dispenser and all weights of oil for all applications. (From manufacturer) At under 0.090 microns in size, the active molecules are called Nano-Bearings that truly are within the nanoscale technology. Imagine 50 million Nano-Bearings per square mm of contact on metal all doing their job after unfreezing rusted parts and components treatment. These molecules are magnetically induced to adhere to sub-microscopic metal crevices, providing an extremely low-friction dynamic contact. These blade oil stabilizer formulations are super compatible with most existing lubricants on the market today both synthetic and mineral.
