I love this brand, I own a lot of their different products & this is one of my all-time favorite facial washes! It gently exfoliates with black sugar crystals that end up melting into your skin & leave it feeling moisturized & clean but not oily or over drying either! It creates a wonderful foam & you don't need a lot of it! The tube is nice sized too! I have the matching facial scrub & they work awesome together! I use this every day & it doesn't contain Salicylic Acid in it! It smells SO good, just like the facial scrub!!! It's safe for my oily, acne prone skin & the sugar crystal don't irritate my skin or break me out either! I love this product & I recommend it too, especially with the matching facial sugar scrub!!!!

Great buttery scrub that smells super good and leaves your skin soft.

This was overall a great foam! The consistency is thick with some sugar granules in it. Though I dissolve the sugar granules in water before washing my face since sugar can be abrasive on the skin. One thing I really liked about this product is the smell, this cleanser smells amazing! It's refreshing and sweet at the same time, it really does remind you of brown sugar. The cleanser foams up really well and doesn't strip your skin of moisture. Makes my skin feel really soft after use too.

I don't really write reviews, but I'm making an exception for this. First off, I'm a guy, bloke, dude, fellow. I have a beard (really it's just slightly managed stubble). My skin likes to be difficult, so some parts of my face (this includes most of my head given that I shave my head) gets really flakey dry skin. The rest is normal to slightly oily. I started using this scrub about a week ago. First, it smells nice and isn't overwhelming nor does the smell linger. It took a bit to get used to applying it. You put a dab in your hand and apply water. It feels very rough to start and I was concerned that I'd damage my skin. If you take a bit of time work it between your hands it builds up a nice lather with just a hint of "scrub". Now I use this stuff on my entire head - face, beard, neck, head (the bits with and without hair) and give myself a good massage with it. Let me tell you my skin now is as soft as a babies butt and seems to have a bit more clarity and glow to it. The dry, flakey skin is now gone and overall my face looks younger. I've gotten compliments from a number of friends. So, I'm very happy. Bottom line for other men - this stuff is great. It also helps with shaving and ingrown hairs. Don't be afraid to use it.

Both my husband and I love this scrub, it’s all we use. It’s gentle enough to use daily but gritty enough to make your skin feel exfoliated. The sugar crystals dissolve and it creates foam like suds, which is great because normally with a thick exfoliant scrub you would fallow up with your normal face wash. I personally even use it on my upper arms, chest and thighs, anywhere I need to buff away dead skin or those pesky little KP bumps. I have combo skin, same with my husband. Oily in the spring and summer, dry in the fall and winter. This has never dried my skin out, but I always moisturize daily, and recommend it.

Skinfood is an excellent brand for sensitive and acne-prone skin. I have been using their black sugar cleansing foam for a little over two years and it’s my go-to winter cleanser. Lately, I’ve felt like my skin could use a little more exfoliation and I’m skeptical about most face scrubs. I decided to give their black sugar scrub a try. I like to use face scrubs in the shower because they’re much easier to remove that way. This scrub has a substantial texture due to the presence of actual sugar crystals, which can be a little rough at first. However, they quickly dissolve after a few moments of exfoliating. My skin felt clean but not stripped after using, and I didn’t experience any signs of sensitivity or irritation. I think this would be a good product to use around twice weekly.

I like this scrub. It feels like it’s doing a good job exfoliating, and I like the way it smells. HOWEVER, the second time I used the scrub the top seam burst. I was looking through the reviews for this product and it appears that others have experienced this as well. Based on my experience with the packaging, I definitely won’t be purchasing this product again.

I have been repurchasing this foam scrub for maybe 5 years now. I mostly rely on chemical exfoliates for my skincare but this face wash is gentle enough it doesn't bother my rosacea, it's not really a foaming cleanser in my opinion, feels more creamy with grainy rather than beads for the scrub. I use it a couple of times a week usually, but more when hair wants to grow back between electrolysis sessions. My Skin Normal Ageing (43) Rosacea (but not sensitive)

J’apprécie ce produit pour son effet nettoyant en profondeur, il laisse la peau du visage lisse et sent très bon. Très agréable.
