As a Viner, I normally never review things that I actually buy out of my own pocket. But, I'm reviewing this one because it answers questions I had but could never find the answer to. Ok, the most important one. Will the exhaust from a 2021 Rav4 cause any boxes like cardboard, or plastic box, to get hot or catch on fire? And, the resounding answer is NO! We traveled 1130 miles one way to Canada with a LOT of stuff on the back. We had large plastic storage boxes, and cardboard boxes on top of that. We strapped them all down with bungee cords. And, nothing melted or caught on fire. We would periodically check out the boxes in the back at rest stops, and the boxes all felt cool / cold to the touch. I have a 11" sandal / slide to measure the exhaust to the hitch one on of my pics. And, at that distance, everything was safe. On the drive back a few months later, though, we had just some cardboard boxes. We left all of our plastic storage bins up in Canada. And, one thing to not about this hitch is that in wet roads, whatever is in the back there WILL get wet on the under side. However, if you're driving at speed in the rain. The top will not get, because of the drafting effect. Although, the sides of the boxes may get wet. So, if you can, use plastic boxes instead. All in all, this is a GREAT hitch carrier that extends your carrying space. We brought up so much junk with us to Canada, that we needed this hitch to carry everything with us. It's LIGHT. It's STURDY. It's EASY to put together. And, the best thing is, it's way better for your fuel economy than a roof cargo carrier. Those things absolutely kill your fuel economy by adding lots of drag. This hitch carrier with about 100 lbs loaded didn't do anything to our fuel economy. It was the same as it every was. Absolutely, whole heartedly recommend it.

Lightweight & strong! Highly Recommended

We used this a couple of times but most notedly on a 1,000 mile cross-country trip in summer of 2025. Aluminum is the way to go! It will not rust and also makes it much lighter in case you need to remove it. We got a different bag that worked great with it. It made zero noise and we had no idea despite (legally, lol!) going 80 in Wyoming on the interstate. In fact a couple of times we forgot it was attached.

I had no problem assembling it. Everything lined up fine. I had taken somebody else’s advice on a review and installed eight stainless steel 3 inch corner brackets riveted with stainless steel rivets to protect the corners that are made of plastic ,looks great on the truck and at this point in time I can’t see any issues that it should have. I’d buy it again and recommend it. It is also very lightweight easy to handle.

Finally got around to using this and it has been a godsend. Used it to move small and large items from NY to MD. Covered with tarp and bungee cords. Easy to put on and remove. Lots of space. While it has a low profile you can still get tall things on it. Seems both durable and very portable.

This rack is perfect, I keep it on my Side x Side but use it on my truck when needed.

Great value. Comes with hitch stabilizer, which is needed. Fits very loose in hitch, but the stabilizer shores that up. It’s extremely light, which makes attaching it much easier. Using it on a Kia sorento and it doesn’t cover up the taillights.

It took awhile to put together but I like it for my RV trailer. I got HD bumper brackets to handle more load but you have to balance it out and not exceed factory recommendations. It also serves as a stable platform for my propane griddle and BBQ. It's off the ground and can't tip over. It's also close to the quick disconnect connections at the back of my Jayco.

Excellent cargo rack. I used it with a riser (the waltyotur 5.0 Matte Black Double Hitch Extension Riser, Extension 7.5 Inch Riser 10 inch Max Length) which not only raised it high enough that it was away from the exhaust and didn’t hit the road at all, but it brought the rack out far enough away from my SUV that the hatch door could open freely without hitting the rack even with two coolers on it. I have a 2018 RAV4 SE. Lightweight but seems very durable. See pics. Putting it together was a bit of a pain… I think there was 88 nuts and bolts to screw in (a 7 mm socket in my cordless drill and a Philips screwdriver worked for me). Very pleased with this rack.

とても軽量で扱いやすく、しっかりした作りで安心感もあります。 古いダッジバンベースのRVで使用していますが、リアバンパーについていたナンバープレートは事前にリアドアに移設し使用しています。背面にスペアタイヤを背負っていますがカーゴキャリア自体は干渉しませんでした。 大きさもちょうど良かったです。
