High Quality Home Kitchen Slicer
A tool like this isn't for everyone, but it's a serious time saver to have in our kitchen. We grow a lot of our own food. A key aspect to making this work well for us is to prepare our foods "ready to cook" as much as possible. We primarily use this slicer to make french fries and home frites from our potato harvest. It makes a whole lot of work in slicing potatoes go by in just minutes. The key value is that it's a serious time saver, saving us hours of slicing by hand. From here, we blanch and freeze our prepared potatoes, with the goal of making them last for nearly a year from that point. In the past, I've gone through enough "cheap" slicers that it was finally time to pay a bit of money for one that will last. This unit seemed to strike a fairly good balance between quality and value, which was well confirmed after the first few uses. I'd argue it's nearly "buy it for life" quality. I'm not worried about this unit breaking on me like I have with some of the smaller units I've had.The mechanisms for changing the blades are quite easy to figure out. While my wife read the manual, I intuitively assembled the unit without instruction. I was satisfied with the quality of all the parts and pieces, no major issues or weak points were observed. The blades are sharp, so it's important to be careful around them! One thing to note, I did "think" I was getting a unit with a lever as opposed to a push down plunger type of action. When I noticed this upon receipt, I almost returned it to get what I had intended. I decided to try it out and found I actually prefer the plunger action. While it can be a bit tough to get some stiff foods through the slicers, the plunger does allow "creative" force options that you wouldn't have with a lever. Also, it reduces complexity, meaning less can go wrong. I'd buy this model again, for what that's worth.I'm sure we'll find many creative uses for this kitchen slicer. Growing a considerable garden offers a lot of opportunities for bulk food preparation and we're always looking for ways to save time. I can easily see this unit being used for diced tomatoes and possibly other things where we want to get fairly small pieces. This was one of the main reasons I purchased the kit with "all" the different blades, a lot more flexibility for not much more money.Overall, five stars and hope the unit lasts for many, many years to come! Lastly, for reference, the shown potatoes took us about 5 minutes to slice from about 25 potatoes!

Sturdy and works really well!
I know it's a little extreme for home use, but it's so great! This works really well for cutting anything. It comes with a variety of blades. My favorite is the apple cutter/corer! It slices through like butter and makes prepping apples for the week so much faster and easier. It's also much easier on my shoulders than the one I had before. I highly recommend this for anyone who preps a good amount of food, it's a game changer. This is very well built and sturdy. It even comes with a little stainless steel tray that fits perfectly underneath for collecting food.

Easy to use
Great chopper! It cuts so well and so fast I don’t need to struggle with one thrust the vegetable are cut. It’s good quality metal and plastic. Highly recommend it. Makes cutting vegetables and making fries so easy and effortless.

French Fry Cutter but no 1/2in. blade for it!
First of all, my husband and I totally loved the way it chopped up the vegetables. That was excellent for the zucchinis, onions, peppers and such. You must be extremely careful when cleaning the machine if you left the blade installed. It was very sturdy and the handle was greatly appreciated when chopping the veggies.I would have kept it had it included the 1/2 inch blade for the French fries. After searching for it on Amazon, it appeared to be costly for just that blade. I opted to return this one and once processed, will exchange it for another Vevor French Fry Cutter that has the 1/2 inch blade included with the rest of the blades. Other than this kink, it was an excellent product. Seller, please consider sending this blade instead of one of the wedge or core blades. Thank you!!! Looking forward to getting the chopper to make some yummy fries....

Works as advertised!!!
I do a LOT of dehydrating, and because of this, I do a LOT of chopping and dicing. I was going through the smaller hard plastic container dicers about every 6 months or so.This dicer is massively STURDY! Comes with extra blades should you need them, and works as it says it should. The entire outer case is all stainless steel and very nicely put together.I mostly do celery and green peppers. It is a bit ticky to clean celery strings from. I do not have a dishwasher, so I cannot comment on that. It does come with a cleaning tool, but it is much easier to just use a small very thin bladed knife to clean between the tines of the chopper.Because I use this in my home and not a commercial setting, the only thing I wish it did have, is a case/box to put it away in. Along with the extra chopping pieces. The chopping pieces are very well built and sturdy.I am not used to the pushing down part, my dicers have all been a side slap style, but it is easy to use, just takes some getting used to. I have not tried it with potatoes, yet, but will soon. I do have a nice mandolin slicer that I usually use for those, as we do a lot more fried potatoes, rather then French fried style. But I am looking forward to doing some chopped to see how they dehydrate.

Love love love it!
Oh where has this been all my life. It took longer to peel one potato than it did to cut up 10.
