The first one arrived with the battery out of the Outside unit. I had to wrangle the thing open to install the battery. I noticed there was a magic-marker X inside the cover. The thing didn't seem to work. I returned it for a replacement and the next one arrived in the same condition: Battery not installed in the Outside unit and magic-marker X inside the cover. I charged it and it seemed to function OK. But when I took the unit to the driveway gate, about 65 yards away, it couldn't contact the inside unit, so it is useless to me. Wife thought they were cheaply made.

Does a good job serving as a way to communicate with people without having to open the main door. Battery charger seems to be working well......overall a GOOD product !!

The indoor unit is fine but the outdoor unit needs to be more durable! The cover from the outside unit was lost after a few days. The outside unit itself is only secured to the bracket by two tiny screws. Also, for an outside unit I really wonder how "waterproof" the unit is. Time will tell. I recommend you spend a little more money to get a more robust unit.

I JUST GOT THIS THING.THE SOLAR PANEL NEVER WORKED.IT IS VERY FLIMSY WHEN YOU PUT IT ON DOOR.IT BROKE DOWN SO FAST!JUST STOPPED WORKING.DONT WASTE YOUIR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

I live in a place where there is a lot of power cuts, so wanted something that was not dependent on electric power. This works quite well, and was easy to set up. Would definitely recommend it

Month later works great and stays charged. Very clear voice with plenty of volume.

I was really excited to get a solar doorbell. After fully charging both batteries, successfully (the 1st unit needed to be replaced) I installed the doorbell with ease. The house is west facing and it has two solar lights above which receive more daylight than the doorbell. After a full day, the fastened unit (with solar station) battery went flat and needed to be removed from the house and recharged. It hasn't held a solar charge, yet. Would like a refund but I don't see an option.
