Excellent Solution For A Difficult Space
I’m glad I bought this, even though the installation instructions are worthless. Fortunately the parts are easy to figure out. There was more than enough heavy duty cord. I had to cut off quite a bit, and the extra cord can be used for other projects. There is a piece included that is not shown in a diagram, or even mentioned in the written instructions, but I finally figured it out. Basically you will have to figure it out. The instructions will not help. The diagram does not show how to use the part that cinches together the two loose ends. Each end goes in one side, facing each other. Both ends are then twisted in a little ratchet device that closes the “loop” and tightens the cord. This is very sturdy, and I’m thrilled with the quality.

Great idea having it all in one box
Great setup that is easy to install despite the horrible instructions. Since I am a do it yourself kind of person, I had to figure it out on my own and it took some trial and error. The orientation of the pulleys isn't at all clear but I hung them with the hole in the housing toward the ground and guessed it is maybe a hole where one could hang a bag of clothes pins. The device provided to hold the cables together doesn't work very well and there is no real explanation regarding the proper installation. As a result, I had to try using variations and I'm still not sure it's right because it still pops off. It is definitely worth keeping it on in because it prevents the line from drooping too much when you have the line full of clothes.UPDATE: This is my second clothes line from Strata. It's been at least five years since buying the first and it has held up well with one exception. However, I made a mistake on the initial installation. One end I attached to a large maple tree. In the years since it has worked fine until now when I learned the tree had absorbed the entire hook and part of the wheel mechanism. It is buried and there was no way to get it out but when I tried I broke the frame part that holds the wheel. It's why I had to buy another. This time I made a wooden plaque to screw into the tree then I installed the wheel mechanism so the absorption can be avoided. Still, it will require closer examination from time to time. Finally the line separator is shoddy. The brittle plastic wheels broke after the first year. Amazon has some more sturdy plastic separators that are great and it comes in pairs just in case and they're cheap.

Very durable clothesline system
I have had clotheslines my entire married life of over 34 + years. It seems like about every other year and sometimes every year we are scrambling to put up new clothesline. Usually the cord used wears out or just plain doesn't hold up. I finally found the strata system and decided why not? Well worth the investment. The kit comes with 150' of line, 2 pulleys and 1 spacer. I have about a 40' run between my posts so I can only get 1 run with this kit.( I have 3 lines.) I actually bought 2 kits and then purchased everything else separate for the 3rd line. I love the ease and convenience of hanging my clothes. I am not constantly dragging the basket along with me to get it all up. With my 3 lines I can put a lot of stuff on there. Now here is the crucial part. THE SPACERS ARE KEY!!! Like I stated before, the kit only comes with 1 but for my needs, I need at least 5-6 per line. 1 spacer will not cut it. They are roughly $12 per 2 but do not skimp out on these or the hanging experience will not be pleasant. As you can see in my photos I use 1 spacer about every 4 ft. or so. Again, SPACERS ARE KEY!!! Also, I purchased the little metal clothespins....and threw out all my old soggy wooden ones that leave marks on the clothes and break and don't always hold. Best decision I've made. They come in about 80 per pack and I bought 3 packs. I don't like to run short. One review said these get tangled in the bag like a puzzle but that is just not true. I have had zero issues with that so far. Now I've only had this system up and going now for about a month but I already don't dread going out to hang my clothes. Also it gets really windy where I live in Indiana and I have yet to have anything fall off the line. Overall I really can't say enough about this system. I love it and hope it continues to work well for me. As long as I don't snag it with the top of the Kabota when I mow I'm good...lol.

NEEDS INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED!
The product is solid, but literally ZERO instructions or pics to guide you on how to install correctly were included. The QR code on the box that says “scan to watch install”— doesn’t work. It crashes and I was left scrambling on YouTube to install it right. These are the details that are important for us DIY’ers who are handy, but this is a bit ridiculous.
