My only real complaint is the lag in first person view (fpv). If you are flying around the house, make sure you have plenty of room or you are going to run in to things if you are not paying attention unless you are a more advanced pilot.

What a blast. This little craft can do more than I thought imaginable for a drone this size. You name it, it'll do it; although don't take it for granted. If you're a novice like me, and because the age range starts at 14, don't be fooled into launching this little wonder without a bit of reading and studying first. On an early 'flight' I unknowingly pressed the speed button a couple times putting it into high speed operation. This was an 'experience' to say the least. After ducking the first two attacks on me I lost sight of it and eventually found it trying to chop itself to bits in a corner of the bathroom which was around a corner, down the hall and through the door. Durability?--a tough little craft to say the least--no damage at all; nary a scratch and I now understand why its being foldable is a major asset; definitely saved the props. The drone is easily and quickly paired with the remote, and you are offered options for take-off and landing; one button or pilot controlled with joysticks. Other options include circle fly, headless mode, one key return, high speed rotation and of course, trim controls to fine tune flight controllability and hover. Add to this, a photo and video capability, a speed switch with emergency stop (wish I'd known about this!), and a 360 degree flip option. Eventually, when I become comfortable with more of the remotes operations, I will begin to re-experiment with the cell phone app; something I attempted early on, again with no knowledge whatsoever; my second error in judgement, and finally the voice control. At age 77, and considering the 14 year old recommendation I thought what's the big deal--that is until my less than successful early attempts reminded me that they were referring to today's 14 year old--not a 1958 14 year old. Now considering I live in a retirement village with "restricted air space", our recent ice and snow storms, and our typical Texas Spring breezes of 20-30 mph, my flight time has been restricted pretty much to in-house flights and for this reason I've yet to test all the craft's capabilities. With time I expect to become a more capable pilot but until then, I am having a great time avoiding the ceiling fan, heating vent downdrafts, a lamp or two, the walls, doorways and windows and, my face. Those of you with a bit of prior drone experience I'm sure will hop right into the pilot's seat and not be disappointed with this mini-drone's capabilities. For novices such as myself, take it slow to start and add add to your flights as you become comfortable with your progress. Take it from me; even at 14, I'll bet this thing can move faster than you when its coming toward your face. So, before its too late, find the one button landing and panic stop buttons and become proficient in their use in non-panic situations, even if it means making an unscheduled landing on the dog! The bottom line: you can't go wrong with the SNAPTAIN A10 Mini Foldable Drone. Hours of fun and excitement in store......

This is my first drone. One key take off and landing is useful, and headless mode makes it easier to control. The two batteries charge quickly and give good flight time. Video recording is satisfactory. Trying inside my house, I crashed it a few times with no problem. But then it hit the closet door and went under. The propeller did not stop and repeatedly beat the door. The propellers did not have obvious damage. But one of the them does not have enough lift so the drone cannot take off but swirl along the ground. I wrote an email to Snaptain support. The customer service is very good, they responded fast. They sent me a shipping label to return the drone, then sent me a replacement. I'm very satisfied with the product and the customer service.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This was my first time using a drone and didn't want to go for the most expensive version as I learned. I didn't expect how much fun this would be. I'm pretty sure I terrified the cat when I tried this the first time without completely reading the instructions. I learned how to sync the controller and turn it on and then just tried to see if I could figure it out. After crashing into a few walls and having the controls taken away from me we had the thing much better controlled. From experience I would probably try to use this outside first – but I was scared that I would have sent it into someone else's backyard without the ability to find it.It comes with 2 batteries for the drone and I like that they can be charged directly so as you're using one the other can be charging.It came with extra propellers which was probably a good thing for my current flying abilities.I love the compact size and really can't beat it for the price. Great present for the holidays!
