I've had the sister product , stainless 1.5L kettle in daily use for two years and it is going strong. This is much the same for durability; the pan is heavy enough to use.This pan has a slider to widen the handle to lock it in the use position.I didn't realize it had the other lock (in the picture). That is precisely done, the handle is flat on the lid compressing it slightly so no rattles. I could do without that snugness and without something more to clean; my packing will keep things in place. If it ever irks me, the little cable can meet some snippers.This picture does not do justice to the pan's finish; it is not entirely dry.

I really like the quality build of the 1L Pot and 0.8L Kettle with the exception of the handle locking docking mechanism on the pot. It is a bit odd. It is a thin cable that is attached on the pot at all times and where when closing the handle over the top it then must be looped thru a small keep at the end of the handle to maintain closed tension. Will take some getting used to especially when cleaning the pot to deal with a dangle cable...but, it is camping gear so, other than that, its all great from every other aspect one would imagine. I also really like that it is large enough to accommodate the equally nifty high quality 0.8L Firemaple Kettle inside sandwiching them snugly together saving space....I appreciate that. The pot is just the right comfortable size too that's needed to create a variety of generous portions of soup, oatmeal, or stew type meals as examples for custom sizing the servings for yourself and or for several as needed and yet not being too big taking up more space that a too large pot would be. Awesome compatible & comparable sizing of both camping cookware pieces makes them a great pair for you alone or for a small group or family. Both the Kettle and the Pot come with carry or pack satchels & cinch cords, great feature for packing as it prevents banging around noises and is really neat to pack. Really AWESOME quality overall, smart!!!

I purchased this pot and the nesting kettle. Fit together perfect and seem to be of high quality. Used them extensively in the boundary waters last week and had zero issues. Boiled water, boiled crayfish, cleaned up real nice and easy, heat up super quick over a fire, and on a butane burner. Love them. They'll last forever. And the fact that they nest together is a HUGE plus.

I bought the whole 1L kit but each piece separately. This way I get a mesh bag with each piece.Even with the kettle being in the mesh bag its still easily stackable into the 1L pot. I just wanted something sturdy thats going to last.To add the 1L kettle I received had the updated lid elbow that keeps the lid locked even when at 90 degree poor. Huge plus.Managed to pick up each piece on black friday sale as to it was cheaper even than buying the "kit" and I get the two bags.

The size was just perfect. I love the way it looks it’s can be used for multiple things and feels very strong and should last a long time great value for the money.

This would be 5 stars if the mesh bag it came with didn't have dried blood or whatever on it. Kinda gross. I wish I knew what it actually was, but I will try to use bleach or 30% hydrogen peroxide.

The reason for this was twofold. I needed a good pot and this nests the matching kettle, perfectly. I can cook and boil everything I need on the trail or lightweight camping.

This pot is very well built and a super useful backpacking item with or without the kettle that fits inside. The 1L kettle holds a full 32oz Nalgene with room to spare, and this 1L pot the kettle nests inside fits much more than 1L, about 1L filled to the brim. I would feel comfortable bringing 1L to a rolling boil in either.
